Summary:

Placed on the quiet west end of Jones Street, this 1854 carriage house studio sits behind the historic Jesse Mount House. Once a 5-bedroom B&B, the property now offers a spacious private retreat with a stunning courtyard, large bathroom, and room to relax or work remotely. Walk to Savannah’s Historic District squares, top restaurants, and cafes while enjoying peaceful charm.

The Space:

The gorgeous diagonal heart pine floors, tall ceilings and gentle decor provides this marvelous "cottage" feel that is just so inviting. We have a very generous bathroom with a large glass shower and huge soaking tub with plenty of vanity room for getting ready. We offer a nifty little fully-functional kitchen that has everything you need. We have a smart TV with Amazon Fire Stick and very fast WiFi. The fireplace also works, just let us know if you would like to use it and we will provide instructions.



Guest Access:

There is a washer/dryer in the garage storage area when you walk in through the rear that you may use. These are shared with the tenants staying in the garden level apartment on Jones Street so just be courteous of the neighbors.



The Neighborhood:

This original cobblestone street really is the absolute prettiest in all of Savannah. We have had several movie scenes and dozens of wedding photos shot here. We are just a block over from Mrs. WIlkes Dining Room and two blocks from Crystal Beer Parlor. The famous Clary's Cafe is just a few blocks east and we are minutes from Broughton Street, River Street and Forsyth Park!



Getting Around:

Aside from being able to walk to everything, if you should need a ride, we suggest taking Uber/Lyft as parking can be a nightmare. There is also a FREE shuttle bus called The Dot that connects you all around town and it is just around the corner at Whitaker and Jones. This runs until midnight on Friday and Saturday nights!



Other Things to Note:

*There is some construction going on next door until likely June, 2025, so please understand there is subject to construction noise throughout the day, from about 8am until about 530PM. Be sure to bring your walking shoes! The historical nature of Savannah and its's breathtaking architecture also means lots of uneven surfaces around town! It's part of the fun :)

Had the best stay in Savannah! Unfortunately, it rained pretty much the entire weekend we were here. But, we didn’t mind because we loved the Jesse Mount and were able to relax together inside this beautiful home! They had everything that you need from shampoo to a fully furnished kitchen and living room/bedroom. It was the perfect size for two of us. I really have no complaints or anything bad to say about it! We will definitely book again when we visit Savannah again.

We had such a great stay at Jesse Mount. As soon as we arrived we walked to the Crystal Beer Palace and had the best crab soup ever. We walked all over beautiful Savannah. We had great pizza at Vinnie Van Go Gos. I wish we had been able to stay more than 2 nights.

Quiet Corner Off Jones St

I enjoyed my extended weekend stay in this historic corner of the magical city of Savannah. Pros: the courtyard was beautiful, the space was cozy and perfectly adequate for a short stay for 1-2 people, the location was ideal just off of Jones St, and the communication with the hosts was quick and easy. Cons: the entryway is an issue - though they’ve put a motion sensor es light in the laundry room where you enter, it is still very dirty and dark and feels sketchy especially for females staying by themselves(also the door closed very quickly so be careful - I injured my foot), there was something wrong with the seal on the Juliette balcony doors, so they could don’t be opened and closed

Long weekend visit with SCAD daughter

We really enjoyed our stay at this property. We visit Savannah often & this was our first stay at VRBO here. Neighborhood was great, very friendly neighbors as well. The host were very responsive & very clear check-in/check-out process. We were within walking distance to great restaurants & downtown Savannah. We Will definitely stay here again!

Comfortable and quiet

Suite had everything we required. The bed was comfortable and the small kitchen had a mini fridge large enough to keep some snacks. Parking seems a little daunting at first but once you download the app and understand the system it is very easy to use. There was always space on an adjacent street vey close to accommodation. The area itself is very quiet and feels very safe. We found it easier to Uber to dinner and walk home than drive and park. Walking home in dark was no problem, all parks are well lit with others out and about walking dogs etc.

Beautiful studio apartment! Pictures on VRBO are fully accurate. It was a comfortable, clean, nicely appointed place with everything I needed. Be aware that there is a steep staircase to enter the 2nd-floor property.

LOVE IT!

Beautiful space! Found it exactly as advertised. Nice quiet unit located in the heart of histoeic Savannah. Very centrally located, easy walk to all historic aites. We will be bavk. Only one issue, the key box wohld not work on our last day, had to leave the key in the tool chest in laundry room.
