Great location, right between Quepos/ Manual Antonio and Dominical. Close to many beaches, resturants, parks, and surfing. Private waterfalls and parks within walking distances from house. Lots of fruit and flowers on the property. White sand beaches, 10 miles long, and very private .Cable tv, wireless wi fi. ,air conditioning, hot water, bbq , washer and dryer, boogie boards, kayaks, all the modern comforts of home.. Nice house with 3 story access, the roof is a great place to unwind, have a drink or coffee and watch the wildlife. Very safe, 24 hr security, gated community. House is located on a couple of acers, with owners living in the subdivision. King bed, double bed, sofa sleeper and air beds. A 4x4 vehicle is recomened for easy access. Nice large private pool, and bbq area.

If 10 stars was available, I’d give this a 10!!

This was by far the BEST renting experience we've ever had! Jim and Julie are wonderful hosts and the house was very comfortable and clean with amazing views and every amenity. The location is perfect for anyone who wants to be close to beautiful beaches and also a little off the beaten path. Upon our arrival, Jim & Julie met us at their street entrance to lead us to their rental home. They gave us tips about the area including private beaches, where to bring the kayaks they provided us with, good restaurants, and they were happy to answer ALL the questions we had. They live very close-by and it was comforting to know that if we had any problems they would be right there for us. We were very interested in the waterfalls so Jim and his son took us hiking one morning and showed us the falls (which we found again ourselves another day.) The gated community is beautiful in the mountains with a river running along the road. The roof provides amazing views - during the day you can see the gardens on the property, the surrounding forest/wildlife, and the ocean in the distance - and it’s all incredible to experience from up there. At night it’s a cool place to listen to the nighttime sounds while gazing at the stars. The home has EVERYTHING you need plus things that you don’t need that are just great to have. Despite everything they already provide, Julie and Jim go above and beyond with some welcoming personal touches. They're genuinely nice, warm people and we couldn’t thank them enough. We'll definitely be contacting them to rent from them again someday!

Wonderful hosts in the luxurious forest house

A very comfortable place to stay with exceptionally friendly, supportive hosts that helped us through some difficult situations. We will miss the daily smoothies, fruit and other goodies from Julie, but not the terrible road up the hill. When Jim says you need a powerful vehicle to climb the hill, you better believe it .

Jungle Love

Comfortable house above the little village of Portalon. Half-hour to Manuel Antonio, 20 mins to Dominical. Great deserted beaches just klicks away. And a waterfall and pool near the house that is a slice of heaven. Jim and Ana are great.

Amazing

We loved the location for its privacy and serenity. There were no street lights or traffic noises to interfere with sleep. The mountains and the jungle plus the bonus of a private waterfall and all the wildlife made for a wonderful adventure. We were also close to the best beaches that you could walk for miles on and enjoy the warmth of the water. Our hosts were truly amazing and made our stay simply wonderful and we left with so many fantastic memories. We are looking forward to returning.

Incredible Tropical Jungle Hide A Away 4+

What an amazingly comfortable and beautiful retreat in the midst of Costa Rica's tropical rain forest. We loved this place and would not hesitate for a second to go back. Jim and Julie the owners are fantastic and provided above and beyond excellent service and hospitality! From boogie boards, to kayaks, and personal tours of the local area - Jim and Julie were happy to help us orient and make the best for our trip. Within 15 minutes are incredible restaurants yet you are nestled in the serenity of the forest without lights and noises other than mother nature. The bird life is amazing at the house, let alone if you take a short hike. We loved to bird and enjoy nature so this was extra special! Nearby rivers and waterfall offer the opportunity to soak in their cool clear waters on a hot day often with no one near by. This is a true Costa Rica gem that allows you to easily explore a vast area of the Pacific cost from Quepos to Uvita in a days drive. We look forward to returning again!!!
