We really enjoyed a weekend at mill view house.
We really enjoyed a weekend at mill view house. Was clean and well equipped with everything we needed. Bedrooms spacious but downstairs a bit small for 8 of us. Beds were ok not very comfortable, oven was dirty, games were broken some had pieces lost but kids enjoyed pool table. Bathroom tap was broken and downstairs toilet didnt flush properly. Heating was hard to set and parking was a nightmare as we had a large car and spaces near house were often taken. Easier to walk.

House is in a brilliant central position for everything we needed; beach, park, shops, North Bay amenities, all in easy walking distance. Had everything we needed in the house apart from the stair gate not fitting. We could have rung Mr Lok but managed okay. Games/play room was a lovely bonus having 4 boys aged 21, 18, 12 and 21 months to keep amused. Certainly recommend it.

Lovely house, well equipped and although quiet, very close to centre of the town.
Lovely house, well equipped and although quiet, very close to centre of the town.Lots of stairs and sturdy fire doors so perhaps not practical for less able bodied people. We had asked for a cot but there wasn't one, fortunately our guests had not set off when we had arrived so were able to bring their own travel cot.Stair gate was impossible to fix securely and was no match for a lively toddler.Pool table has clearly suffered over time and is not level but still provided a fun option.Overall we would recommend this property.Thank you.
I slept in the first floor room with two beds. I could feel all the springs in the mattress so after two nights I changed to the second one. This had a distinct dip in the middle but it was ok sleeping on top of one duvet and under the other. The next morning I pulled back the sheet on the first bed to discover the mattress was covered in urine stains which made me want to retch. Also in this room there is a bedside lamp on a cabinet between the beds but the pear switch in down behind the first bed so i had to get up for the toilet each night and feel my way in pitch dark.In my daughter's bedroom there were four pieces of rough cut plywood protruding three inches out beyond the mattress, supporting it above an extremely sagged metal spring. My daughter caught her leg on the wood twice getting out of bed.The plastic bath panel is broken with a jagged piece sticking out and i caught my trousers on that. One of the couches in the lounge has large frayed patches along the back.We love Scarborough but returned home disappointed in a holiday house with features well below standard.
excellent house the single beds were just what we wanted also ideal location was worried about parking but no problems at all the house had everything we needed great little break

This house is in an excellent location, close to local amenities.
This house is in an excellent location, close to local amenities. The cleanliness of the house is exceptional and the facilities are excellent. However, the only thing that lets the house down is the showers. The shower in the bathroom with the shower cubicle has a very large shower head which is too big for the cubicle, the water is extremely hot & the temperature cannot be turned down, you could not put a child in there. The shower in the bathroom with the bath is very old & again is very temperamental. To keep the temperature at a constant (luke warm) you have to have it on mid power which means the water trickes out.
Other than the showers the house is excellent and the welcome gifts were very well received
