502 Tarpon Pond

A kitchen with granite counter tops, cabinets and stainless steel appliances greet you as you enter this Tarpon Pond Cottage. This kitchen has a new Samsung refrigerator with a digital component that allows you to watch news and listen to music through Pandora using your log-in information! The kitchen is conveniently open to the great room allowing everyone to stay engaged in the family conversation. The great room has a wicker sectional sofa, a large HDTV and a dining table for six. Sliding doors lead to the screened-in patio which has a large round table for six and a spectacular view of the 7th green of the Ocean Winds Golf Course. Next to the patio is an open deck with a table for four and a propane gas grill.

The master bedroom is on the first floor and has a king size bed, a smart HDTV and an adjoining bathroom with a tiled walk-in shower complete with a rain head and body sprays. A sliding door allows access to the open deck and a view of the golf course. Across the hall is the second bedroom with a queen size bed, a smart HDTV and access to the hall bathroom with a shower/tub combination.

Head upstairs to the loft room which is open to the great room downstairs. The open loft has a full size and a twin size bed each with decorative coastal white headboards. There is a small private bedroom in the loft which has a twin bed with a trundle, HDTV and an adjoining bathroom complete with a walk-in tiled shower.

*Seabrook Island Property Association (SIPOA) charges for rental gate passes:

Gate passes are $45/ vehicle. This charge applies if you are staying 1 night – 179 nights. If you are staying more than 179 nights, there is a different charge.

Must be registered and insured, have a 17-digit VIN and display an LSV license plate, display a valid SIPOA entry pass issued specifically to that vehicle. Drivers must have a valid driver's license. No off-road tires allowed
Usage Restrictions:
For street use only. No use on bicycle paths, walking paths, golf course cart paths, boardwalks, or beaches. Follow SIPOA vehicle and parking rules.
Safety Requirements: SC seat belt laws apply to all occupants. Child seats are a must. SIPOA officers and CCSO will stop vehicles with unsecured children

Amenity access, allowing you access to the Seabrook Island Club amenities, is available for purchase with this rental. The digital QR access is set up through the Seabrook Island Club, and gives you access to the Beach Club oceanfront pools (seasonal), Pelican's Nest outdoor restaurant/bar (seasonal), Island House restaurant/bar, golf and tennis. Additional fees are charged for all activities, except outdoor pool usage. The Club Amenity access also allows access to the Lake House facilities (outdoor pool: no fees / indoor pool + fitness center: fees apply).

Wonderful end of summer getaway

This was our first time at Seabrook, and this house was a wonderful introduction. It took us a while to get used to the layout of the island, but once we did, we enjoyed the beach, the beach club, and beach bicycles.

Seabrook House

Our stay at this house between Christmas and New Years was great. We have stayed at Seabrook a number of times and enjoy the quiet southern end the best. The house was great and the perfect size for our family of four (and four legged friend). We don't golf, but the area provides great access to the beaches and great places to ride our bikes. We typically don't stay in the same place twice, but wouldn't hesitate to stay here again. The house was well appointed, had everything we needed and was comfortable.

We enjoyed the spaciousness of the house. There was a very big ant problem though. They sprayed while we were there but the ants came back. One bed not able to be used because the ants were all over the bedspread. Also the outside trash can was removed and not returned. We love Seabrook and been going there for 10 years, We will not return to this property.

First vacation at Seabrook

We loved the cottage. It was perfect for our family. We usually vacation at Kiawah, but we needed a pet friendly house and choices were limited. The cottage was lovely, roomy and very pet friendly with the hardwood floors and screened in porch. We would definitely stay here again.

Great place to stay with plenty of room!

My family really enjoyed our stay at this property. It was clean and well-kept. The only downfall was the couch was not comfortable. It was outdoor furniture put together and the different sections wouldn’t stay together. My family loves movie nights and we weren’t able to really enjoy that experience. Because of that, I probably wouldn’t stay at the property again because it also limits your entertainment space. However, aside from that, the property was great.

Seabrook Island - 502 Tarpon Pond

We had a very pleasant experience overall. Seabrook Island is a wonderful spot. We love it for it's luxurious vegetation and for all it has to offer. 502 Tarpon Pond is located in a quiet area, yet close to the beach. We found it very clean, and the kitchen is well stocked. The enclosed patio is great. Nice large TV. The manager, Coastal Getaways, is very efficient and responsive. Easy booking services. On the down side, the furniture is not very comfortable, especially the couch. The cottage is very shady, but the trees do shed a lot at this time of the year.

Great view of course and deer

This property was OK. Loved the screened in deck where we could watch golfers finishing off a hole. We also enjoyed nightly visits from three deer. The sectional in the living area was not very comfortable. It is actually outdoor furniture with lumpy cushions that sat very low to the ground. We only used the Master bedroom. The king size bed was comfortable. The walk -in shower did not have any shelving or niches for soaps, shampoo, etc.. Had to keep them on the shower floor. The kitchen is small but nicely finished. Well stocked with dishes, pots and pans, flatware and glassware. We were not able to find measuring spoons or a full set of measuring cups. Also, did not have a potato masher. Would have preferred to be closer to the beautiful beach so we could have walked rather than drive. While this property was OK, I would probably not stay here again.

Great location

We love visiting Seabrook. We go every year. This was our first Christmas there. The house was just what we needed. Well supplied. Floors need to have a finish applied. They felt dirty. My sister stayed at a house with same plan down the street. Her home had chosen to open up the living area and make the screened in deck a sun room. Which made the living area twice as big. Will probably choose that house for our next stay.

Pet-friendly cottage

We loved this cottage because it was pet-friendly and therefore we could relax and enjoy our stay. We thought everything was excellent except for one thing, we could not open the loft windows. It was quite "stuffy" up in the loft especially when sleeping, so we purchased an oscillating fan to help circulate the air. Otherwise, it was great!

Honest Review

Communication with property management was fine. For the most part, they were pretty quick with responding. Check in was relatively easy. However, the place was not as clean as my family and I would’ve liked. When we arrived there were dead bugs everywhere. In addition to roaches there were also ants (dead and alive) littering the home. The property management told me the cleaning crew was there earlier that day, but there is no way any cleaning was conducted before our arrival. Management did offer to come out to clean/spray, but we brought our dog and didn’t want to risk her inhaling the fumes so we declined the offer. Truthfully, I would not stay here again.

This is our 2nd stay at 502 Tarpon. The unit was not as clean as it was last year. We had to recllean the kiltchen, fridge, and back deck upon arrival. The TVs turned on but many of the viewing apps and services didn’t work or kept freezing. The beds were comfortable and kitchen was great.

Beautiful location, older building

The location was beautiful and it met the needs of what we needed it for. The house is a bit dated and there are stains in the ceiling and some of the couch cushions. Overall, it was 6 adults, 1 kid and a dog. The front clear dog didn’t close all the way unless you locked it, so we had to be careful to watch our dog anytime someone used the front door. The one neighbor is a permanent member and lives on the island. He let one of the couples with us, know he is not fond of the rental. So we tried to be as quiet and respectful as possible. Overall, it was a good spot for what we needed.

Great Property Great Location

Everyone involved with the rental of this property worked as a TEAM! The vendors referred to us were just as amazing as the property managers. The house had a floorplan that was functional for vacation living right down to the hose in the car bay to rinse your vehicles(or your dog or children!). Multiple outdoor living areas and I mean living areas not just spaces. The decorating was thoughtful as in you were comfortable but did not worry about a family member being thoughtless and ruining the surfaces as they were chosen for durability. The kitchen was stocked for cooking and easy with a refrigerator that could hold enough for a family for a week. The dishware was enough for a large family and you could easily set a matching table even if kitchen dwellers used glasses or silverware all day. The W/D were commercial grade Maytag and a blessing for anyone. All the bedrooms/living areas(even porch) had ceiling fans to keep the air circulating for those who like to live with the windows open...and the windows DO actually open! The owner leaves you access to ample extra bedding and towels...and the towels actually absorb. There are TVs in all the bedrooms as well as family room which allow logging into streaming services if you want a more personal experience. There is a wonderful quiet in the location despite being on the golf course as the breeze moves the sound away from you. If you love wildlife there is plenty to view-even from the back porch. There are a few beach chairs and toys in the ground storage. If you want to experience a place that is like putting on your favorite warm sweater than this is the place for you.

Cozy Family Vacation

Enjoyable stay! The only negative for our family was the lack of sidewalks in the neighborhood. We are avid runners, we wish we had known the area didn't have sidewalks or walking paths. The streets do get busy; it was challenging sometimes when cars were passing by in both directions.
