Waterfront home with private sandy beach and pier on the Core Sound. *Sleeps 12*

The Sea Level House is back and larger than ever! After a four year renovation it is ready to share it's water views and sandy beach with guests.
The private beach is a great place for sunbathing, sand castle building, shell collecting and more. Enjoy a swim in the shallow waters of the Core Sound. The long pier is perfect for fishing, setting some crab pots, casting a shrimp net or tying up a boat. The water is typically deep enough for a pontoon, skiff on smaller boat.
The newly built deck is the whole length of the house! The tall deck chairs are the perfect place to watch dolphins, eagles, osprey and more! It's a photographers paradise!!! The deck also has a gate to keep the furry guests in.
Under the house are two kayaks along with a large picnic table. Bring some chairs, riding toys for the kiddos and games to enjoy where it's cool during the hot days.
The large backyard has enough room for volleyball, kite flying and more. There's a small fire pit to enjoy on calm evenings.
In the kitchen there's an induction stove top, wall oven and microwave. The cabinets are stocked with cups, plates, mugs, bowls, mixing bowls, gallon and a 2 liter pitcher, silverware, cooking utensils including knives and steak knives. Small appliances included are a single serve coffee pod machine, 12 cup coffee maker, slow cooker, electric griddle and electric roaster/fryer.
There are three wonderful restaurants within 5 miles that serve local seafood and more.
Within 30 miles you can hop on different ferries to Ocracoke, Cape Lookout National Seashore, Portsmouth Island and Shacklesford Banks (wild horses).
On Harkers Island you can visit the free Core Sound Museum to learn more about the Down East community.

Great Family Vaca.

Amazing location that offered privacy and still close enough to essentials and tourist destinations. The property was well maintained and offered everything that you would need to check in and relax. Our family had a great time on the beach, on the kayakas, and enjoyed exploring all the near by attractions. The completely private beach with the shallow water was perfect for the kids. Do bring water shoes as the shells tend to be sharp. Thank you for a great stay!

Vacation House

We loved staying at this property. The location is a bit remote, and it was so nice to relax by the ocean. The kayaks were nice and so fun to use. We were so impressed by the well stocked kitchen. The hosts were great at communicating and we had no issues finding the place or checking in.

Great getaway

Very much enjoyed being on our own little 'island' - no neighbors right next door as is typical elsewhere. Great view and layout. Kayak was fun, had never used one previously but enjoyed trying it out. Our dogs loved the porch and yard.

Great Stay for a Family with Kids

A great stay for a family, there is a little to do for everybody. Adults can fish and relax, kids can play in the surf and the big backyard. They have a grill, fire pit, crab trap and kayaks as well.

Can not say enough, from the wonderful owners, beautiful setting, private dock, private beach, FULLY stocked home with everything from A-Z. Very quite and private. Only 30 minute drive into Beaufort/Morehead CIty, but you really don't need to go because everything is here! Highly recommend to family with kids

1 of the best house and host we’ve ever rented

We loved it here. We we’re here during tropical storm Sally. So a lot of rain the last couple days. The side yard flooded a little and the waves were breaking over the sea wall at times but it never got any worse than that. We spent a lot of time at the house because there’s not a lot of reason to leave. Fishing from your backyard. We caught pin fish,croaker,puffer,flounder,whiting,drum,crabs,hermit crabs. We seen dolphins and shrimp boats at work. And there’s a calm beach to swim in. We would have loved to kayak but the water was too rough because of the storm. We also took Davis ferry to Cape Lookout and there were so many shells at the southern point they were knocking us down as the waves were coming in. The host of this rental property go above and beyond the call of duty. They provide so many extras that we didn’t have to bring the whole house with us. Which was really nice. The house was also very clean. We communicated back and forth several times during our stay and they were very responsive. We felt very at home because of this. It was more like we were staying at a friends house instead of a rental. This house is very secluded. We love that! We want to be by ourselves. It’s only 15 minutes to Davis ferry which is really why we came, was to go to Cape Lookout (even though the storm slightly messed that up and we only got to go 1 day) we also drove to Atlantic Beach, Morhead city and Beaufort which was 45 minutes to an hour and ate and shopped and went to the ferry. We will definitely be staying here again and will be telling friends and family that come to Cape lookout about it.

Stunning and secluded

We had such a wonderful two weeks staying at Josh and Yolanda’s home. Being waterfront with the beach and dock, we were able to kayak, swim, fish, and just enjoy outdoor living away from the crowds. The home inside was very comfortable and the views are amazing. Josh and Yolanda were very responsive any time we had a question. They were great hosts. I definitely recommend staying here!

Wonderful place to stay!

Very private house with a small private beach and dock for fishing...it was so nice just to walk out the door and put your kayaks in the water. The kids walked around in the sound fishing and casting nets...the house was beautiful and very clean. The owners provided you with everything you could possibly need for our stay. Definitely recommend this place for those that want a private stay on the sound!

Best Beach Rental Ever

Josh and Yolanda’s rental was amazing! It was very clean, fully stocked (surprisingly so), and a fantastic quiet location. We rent from vrbo 2-3 times per year (beach and mountains) and this was the best rental experience yet. Owners were *very* responsive and there were supplies provided that made staying easy. The location was also amazing. Our own private beach, calm bay waters, and a level grassy lawn meant much outdoors fun. Thank you for a wonderful vacation. We hope to come again.

This was the most peaceful vacation ever.

The property was wonderful. Beautiful setting, peaceful and enjoyable. We kayaked right from our backyard, short drive to the Cape Lookout ferry to the most secluded beach we’ve ever been to. We will be renting this house again.

Great visit

We were ready for a visit to the water to 'work from elsewhere'. After looking through hundreds of spots with requirements for good views, good wifi, and comfort we really lucked out here. The owners did a great job on ensuring the cleanliness of the house and communicating with us beforehand on what was in the house. We truly knew we would not be going anywhere, but that was not a problem. Great views, small private beach, great yard and firepit, BBQ, and plenty of cooking, cleaning, and general home supplies. Be prepared for storms to look bigger on the water, but no flooding thankfully. Wifi was strong outside of some really strong storms that came through. Owners were great and truly thought of everything. Would highly recommend to anyone looking to get away (and not be in crowded areas).
