The host, Vince, was above expectations. The communication was about as close to instant in responsiveness as possible. The property/unit was very clean and comfortable. I travel alone and I felt safe at all times. The walkway and entry was well lit. The location was perfect for me. I did use the laundry room for a single load. The washer and drier were large and also clean. Zero complaints!
We had no hot water on Christmas Day and chose not to report it as it was a holiday. However we had no hot water on the 26th either. The room was postage stamp size⊠like an old dorm room for a college student, no where to sit, no where to put our luggage. When I booked it said separate baths and a common areaâŠdid not say our bath was not connected to our roomâŠ.On Christmas night when we arrived back to the room there were drunken people, making lots of drunken swagger, I was not comfy getting my pyjamas out of our separate bathroom..After I booked I was told about the lack of parking, we are seniors and it was a lot to got our luggage to our room which up 3 flights of stairsâŠ.diid not kbow that before we booked. The common room on the website looks lovely, however the chairs are filthy and again over sold via the pictures. Makes it look like a comfy common area to share. I did reach out to the host about the water on the 26th, again trying to be respectful of Christmas..We checked out on the 26th after a rough loud night. Although we paid until the 27th. We would not ever stay there againâŠwe have not heard anything from the host other than him receiving our email saying we had checked out. Ironically he said please donât leave us a bad review, get a hold of us and they us know what we can doâŠ..I am truly hoping to at least get refunded two nights of our stay⊠I am sure you would too..pile of noise, no hot water and I forgot to mention cigarette butts all over the entranceway
Vincent was a great host. He made sure we had all the information we needed to enter the building and our room/bathroom. The neighborhood was cute and walkable with good places to eat and get coffee. We did have a car and parking here later in the day was difficult. Every night we had to park a block or two away from the building and be very careful of parking signs. Not the worst scenario, but something to consider. Parking is technically free, but you need to put a little work into it. The listing could be more transparent about the stay being up multiple flights of stairs especially for people with luggage. I also think the listing needs a photo of the separated room and bathroom for those who miss that description. The front door, room, and bathroom had electric locks that were a bit confusing on our first day but we figured them out quickly. Thereâs a lot of noise in the building from outside and other occupants that seemed to have more permanent stays. We didnât find it to be a problem, but I could see others being unhappy. Lastly, the room was clean enough but absolutely could use a deep clean especially on the walls. The sheets and towels were satisfactory. In all this was a good stay for the price and we got the essentials covered.
This is a delightful place to stay on Capitol Hill. Itâs a lovely neighborhood, only a short walk to Broadway. The style is simple and cozy. Our room had a view of Mt. Rainer! Vince was very proactive on meeting our needs and answering questions. Highly recommend!
Clean and in very convenient location to many of the sites of Seattle. Smaller size and thin walls like many downtown apartments but overall good stay!
The unit is clean and updated. Communication with owner is excellent and responsive. He was able to accommodate a slightly earlier check-in time.
Very affordable. Nespresso coffee maker is a great touch.
Listing states private bathroom which is true; however, it's not en suite. Have to go out of your private room to get into your private bathroom. The picture on the listing shows the bathroom being part of the suite though. Thought it was just a little misleading. Not a deal breaker though.
Stay has been good until tonight. It is 1:44 am right now. Another renter came in at about 12:30am. Heard a loud crashing sound downstairs, unsure what it was. Extremely loud for last hour. I can hear whoever it is vomiting right now. Slamming doors. Unable to get back asleep. I've also noticed the main door to the property has been left unlocked on multiple occasions since yesterday.
