Comfortable cottage in South Iceland with Hot-Tub for max. 5 people

The house Smalaskáli (old Name Stekkholt 3) is is located approximately 4.5 km / 2,8 miles outside Selfoss with beautiful views of the mountain Ingólfsfjall.
The cozy living / dining room with kitchen offers a good view over the countryside.
Two bedrooms with double beds can accommodate 4 people, plus there is a place to sleep on the sofa in the TV area.
The bathroom is equipped with shower and toilet.
The house has underfloor heating in all rooms.

There is a Hot Tub on the porch. This is filled with geothermal hot water at 38 ° C / 100 ° F.

The house is in an attractive rural location with wonderful views of the mountain Ingólfsfjall and eastward to Mount Hekla volcano and the glacier Eyjafjallajökull.
On the meadows around the house are always Iceland horses and in the summer many species of birds can be observed close by the house.
In the period from September to March, there are good opportunities to see the Northern Lights.

The cottage is ideal for exploring attractions such as the Golden Circle, the south coast of Iceland, the Westman Islands and the Reykjanes Peninsula. Reykjavik is only about 45 minutes away by car and the International Keflavik Airport can be reached in about 90 minutes.

In Selfoss there are good shopping opportunities with 4 supermarkets and numerous other shops.
Several restaurants and cafés as well as provide services, from Pizza and fast food up to good restaurants. A recommended Lobster-Restaurant is in about 20 minutes distance.

In the immediate vicinity are two larger cottages that can be rented together, we can send you an offer for two or more houses.
In late 2020 we will open up for new smaller but also comfortable Houses close-by.

Please observe that the Final-Cleaning is mandatory and needs to be paid on Spot (100,-€ or equal in Icelandic Crowns)
