Bear Cub Hideaway is an adorable 2-bedroom/2-bathroom (sleeps 6) log cabin located conveniently between Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg- you’re a quick drive to both Dollywood and the Great Smoky Mountains National Park! With a hot tub, pool table, and great covered decks, you will be happy you made this cabin your home for your Smoky Mountain vacation!

Great Place If You Like Uninvited Guests

The property is beautiful until you really look at details. The futon had crumbs all in it. Luckily, the sleeper sofa was clean, but there were no sheets for either, so we had to go purchase sheets for everyone to have a place to sleep. No big deal, we can akways use spare sheets at home. The 2 spare pillows had something that looked like feces on them, one more than the other. There was vomit in two spots on the back deck. Then, our last night, while dishing up my son's 20th birthday supper, a roach made a brief appearance on the counter top! The response from Auntie Belham's was, "So sorry about that. Bugs do get inside from time to time. We will send pest control. Mary team AB" Yes, bugs get inside from time to time, I'm from right here in east Tennessee, but roaches, no! Yet, Auntie Belham's tried claiming it was a wood roach and not a regular roach, without even seeing it. (VRBO won't allow that other word after german for the type of roach I'm describing.) Lol! Had they handled the roach situation differently, besides blowing it off to be wood roaches and not the nasty ones, I'd given 5 stars. I don't live with roaches at home, I shouldn't have to while on vacation and paying what we did for 2 nights in this cabin. Let's just hope we don't take any of our new friends home with us!

I only wish we could have stayed longer

We surprised our kids by leaving Florida for a couple days to stay in this beautiful cabin and go to Dollywood. We loved our stay. We just wish we could have stayed longer. Our trip was from Friday until Sunday. Friday was a travel day, and we got in a little after 9pm. So it was already dark before we arrived, so no exploring. Saturday was Dollywood and again dark before we made it back to the Cabin. Sunday we were out before 10am and didn't really get to explore. The cabin was beautiful, as well as the immediate area. The only thing that could have made our trip better would have been if we could spend more time there, or if it would have snowed. We had an amazing time, and will definitely book again in the future. :-)

Great Cabin

We had a great time in this cabin, location is excellent in the sky harbour area, the cabin itself was great with a really nice view and very spacious, jacuzzi was awesome. Highly recommended.

Great place to stay if you like mountains.

A great place to stay especially if you love traveling through those unseen mountain roads and the property was very clean and nicely decorated.

Very nice place!

This was a wonderful property in the mountains! Beautiful cabin that was fully equipped with all the essentials! The staff was nice and helpful with any questions we had! There were a few minor things we experienced while at the cabin. The hot tubs settings didn’t all work right, and only one seat had jets. We filled one jacuzzi up when we got there and lost all hot water for a few hours, which was a little disappointing. Lastly, our end table in the master bedroom had someone’s dirty fake press on nails on it, which meant it wasn’t wiped down prior to ya entering the cabin. And the jacuzzi in that room was dirty. If these things would have been cleaned correctly I would give it a 5 star! Overall great vacation and we would definitely stay here again!

We enjoyed our stay at this cabin!

Great cabin. Clean, comfortable and plenty of room for the whole family. The only negative is that both bathrooms are in the bedrooms. That leaves anyone sleeping outside a bedroom without a bathroom during the night. The cabin is beautiful.
