The house is exactly what the pictures look like, and you are definitely away from the bustle of the area while still being within 15 minutes of all the two towns have to offer. The local wildlife are happy to make an appearance now and then too!
Check in and dealing with property management is not for me, however the property is astonishing!!!! Well clean, exquisitely decorated, with one heck of a view. Would definitely stay again, even if I have to go through property management.
Very nice cabin. I was overwhelmed by the attention to detail. Would love to come back January!!!! Thanks for a great weekend a
Thus beautiful cabin was just what we needed! The cabin was very clean and the decor was amazing, everywhere you look there is something special! I will definitely be staying again. Thank you for a great mini vacation!
We really enjoyed our stay. If I had one suggestion it would be to provide more towels per person. We stayed 5 days/4 nights and only had one towel per person to use for showering and hot tub use. We flew in from the Midwest so could not bring our own towels. Otherwise, the cabin was great! Really quaint, homey and beautiful!
What an awesome cabin, awesome location, and everything we could imagine. We brought extra things and they already had them...like an air fryer. Personally we loved the location. It's up a steep winding road but had not problem navigating with my large truck. There are Bear in the area, one walked across the driveway one morning. I took 360° photos that I will post on my personal media. Would definitely stay there again!
We were very happy with the cleanliness, location and overall look of this cabin. We felt right at home the minute we walked in. It is very comfortable and has all the things you and your family may need. My kids loved watching TV by the fireplace and I loved the open feel of the cabin. The location is great and is right between Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg. The drive up to the cabin the first time around was a bit scary (especially since we arrived at night). But, after that, we did felt safe and were able to get up without any issues at all. The Christmas decor and all the personal touches around the cabin made it even that more special. We cannot wait to go back.
PS. The WIFI service was amazing. I read previous reviews about it not being good but I guess the property manager/ owner took care of that. I had to work a few mornings and had excellent service throughout our stay!
After reading some of the reviews, good and bad. I was totally shocked that anyone had a negative thing to say. The cabin was one of my favorite cabins. Perfect setting, decor, location, cleanliness, bed comfort, view, accommodation, bathroom size (including showers), furnishings and the location of the pool table.
The only issue we struggled with was the alarm system when we arrived. No directions of shutting it off. Also when arriving to the Cabin, check in is at 4pm and again I had to call and get the code to get in. It seems like the property management struggles on letting people know when the cabin is available. Last time I I didnât get a code until after 8pm.
So the cabin is amazing. But the property management needs some work.
We mostly enjoyed our stay but there were some oddities that overall made it miss the mark for us.
Pros:
âą Beautiful wood-work on the interior and extremely clean/well-kept. The inside looked brand new.
âą Very nice, huge master bedroom with vaulted ceilings. Again, beautiful woodwork.
âą Large jetted tub in master we didnât use. Nice shower, but honestly a little small.
âą Hot tub was nice and faced out to the road. This turned out to be ok however since this is the 2nd house from the top.
âą Nice porch with hammock and rocking chairs.
âą Gas logs were really nice and we enjoyed having those on
Cons:
âą No Internet. My wife thought she read that the unit had it, but it didnât. Thatâs basically a given these days, so was a pretty big con.
âą Views were a 5 out of 10. The best view was from the hot tub of downtown Pigeon Forge, but these were partially obstructed by power/telephone lines. The view from the front porch could have been much better, but that branches of the tall trees obstructed much of it.
âą Privacy â there is another house VERY close-by so you have no privacy from the porch. If anything, a privacy shade or something should be up. Note that this cabin is the only one on the entire mountain that is right next to another one. This isnât pictured in the photos for obvious reasons.
âą Pool table â We mostly enjoyed the pool table, but the room really isnât big enough for it. You couldnât take shots mostly from one end and the table was not level.
âą Basics not provided. Seriously, no salt and pepper, laundry detergent, or a sponge? Dishwashing liquid was provided but nothing to clean the pans with, i.e. a sponge. This might be nit-picky, but basic things like this should be included and are a major annoyance when not provided.
âą Washing machine is too small (stackable unit), so donât plan on doing much laundry
âą Security system/always-on flood light â this was a little unnerving honestly. Why do you need a security system at the top of a mountain with a conspicuous camera pointed at the driveway? It was a little odd and made me think maybe there were security issues at some point.
âą The one-way road up half the mountain was sketchy. Luckily we didn't encounter anyone else on the way up/down or it would have been dangerous.
Overall we were not displeased, but for the money Iâd spend more for a place with nicer views, internet, and one that doesnât skimp on basics.
