Escape to this family-friendly cabin near Shaver Lake and reconnect with the mountains! Up to 10 are welcome at this cozy home, where a spacious deck offers guests a chance to breathe in the pine scent and simply relax.

Fishermen and women flock to Shaver Lake for its abundance of Rainbow Trout and other specimens - start your angling adventure at the marina a little over four miles away. In winter, China Mountain's ski slopes are within about 21 miles of this cabin, an easy day trip.

Young visitors might be especially pleased with the bunk bed accommodations. The chef of the group can take ownership of the full kitchen here, complete with an oven, fridge, stove, and microwave. Four TVs and free WiFi ensure everybody stays connected during your trip to the mountains. A private washer and dryer make post-ski laundry less daunting.

Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). (A discount may be applied for stays of 28 nights or longer, if permitted.) The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $3,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. The Damage Waiver fee eliminates the need for a traditional security deposit.

The house fireplace is amazing! The MBR bed was comfortable. (The bunks were hard but I guess they are concentrated towards children we had Adults). Kitchen was stocked. There WAS a mixer which no one was sure about. There needs to be a lg skillet for pancakes and such. Great house - the lighting in Dining room was hard to see when playing cards, but we worked it out. Great stay!!

Beautiful Big Cabin

We loved the open design of the cabin. It had everything we needed to be comfortable. The parking is really awesome, easy and accommodating more than one vehicle. It felt like home!

Great place

Went up for some R and R. House was very roomy. Loved the big seating area in the living room. Also enjoyed the fact the master bedroom is downstairs as our Gracie is deathly afraid of them. I really liked the owner checking in to make sure everything was good. I certainly appreciated that. Also big plus was the side porch area. Gracie is a bigger dog and she was able to go lay outside as the gates keep her locked in. They have both keurig and regular coffee pot big plus. The counter space was wonderful and they have everything you need for the chef Very nice neighborhood and super quiet. Grandkids are already asking when we can go back. Lake was close and town is maybe a mile and half away. Will definitely be back!

Amazing!

The very first morning we were there we were greeting by two does and a fawn right next to the deck. Very beautiful area and the house was so comfortable. Perfect location and we couldn't have had a better stay!

Weekend snow

Area very nice . Was snowed in 1st night had to shovel snow to get truck out . Vacasa does not pay local snow removal ! There are 2 snow removal trucks doing driveways but only cabins contracted . unfortunately, this cabin is not contracted through them and they live right around corner !

Snow trip in Shaver!

My family stayed here during our February break for the first time. We wanted to come play in the snow and also have a spacious home to relax in. This house fit the bill! We had cozy fires every night and played board games that we brought with us. We were close to the stores in Shaver and drove to the snow park area everyday (about 15 minutes away). We would definitely stay at this home again!

Absolutely Beautiful!!Will Go again.

Best I’ve rented so far and I rent a lot, the only things I had an issue with was starting a fire and using the Keurig , they provide newspaper to start the fire but even seasoned fire starting individual had a very difficult time starting a fire . The main reason was the lighter provided was completely empty I reached out to Vacasa and they took forever to respond once they did they told me someone would take me a lighter that day, they never came ! When I ask for an update I was told someone would drop one off the following day but to estimate of a time, Mind you that was a big selling point for me in this property so that was very disappointing, I expressed that to Vacasa and all they could say was “Sorry, we know this is not what you expected” and that was that. Fire starters are not expensive at and suggest providing at least one would be very helpful and save people like us 2 hours of our trip in trying to start a fire with just newspaper. The Keurig, I own one and use one everyday I assumed it was the same but the one at the property allowed all the coffee grounds into the coffee, not good at all.

HAD A GREAT TIME

Spacious Cabin, great for family

The house was clean and spacious. We loved the large windows and the kit hen was very functional. The stairs do not have a railing that goes the entire length, so if someone in your party requires ADA accessibility be prepared. When we arrived the battery for the door code needed to be replaced, and we were able to speak with Vacasa help center to get access to a key, but it was a little challenging because the help center people aren’t as familiar with the specific home because Vacasa manages a lot of rentals. Overall we really enjoyed our stay.

Family weekend

Loved the spaciousness and wrap around porch.. the kitchen and bathrooms are well stocked. Main first floor bathroom needs attention to shower door...very difficult to open...... but will plan on staying again with family! Very nice quiet location... only one garage door was able to be opened, would be great to use entire garage, tho...

Had a great time at this place. Close to Shaver Lake, spacious, great neighborhood and even had a visit from a bear who left his prints on our car. Make sure you shop at Bob’s and get a delicious meal at Pub and Grub. To the property managers: you need to stop charging a cleaning fee until you follow all the previous reviews and thoroughly deep clean!

Family Bonding - Away from it all

It was an amazing stay, so peaceful, we had to do some extra work on cleaning the deck, garage and getting wood, and finding the items in the house, two trash bags could not find any more, good thing I took my own, but calling them and checking is a good thing, they are really helpful for next time. Everything is close by. The one thing that was really bad and not sure if they just need to fix is the Dryer, it was so loud even with the door closed, it sucked. I would go back again but you just make sure that the basics of the house are available and the dryer fixed We will go back again, kids loved it and pets as well

Awesome place!

The house was great! It was in a quiet neighborhood with amazing views. Clean and stocked with everything you might need. My nephew loved the kids games and puzzles. Best part is that we were able to bring our four legged family members. Fun was had by all!

Great get away

This is our second time staying at Paw's Cabin and probably won't be out last. The location is convenient. It is nestled in a nice area with snow removal. Doesnt get any better than that!
