Most amazing staff !!
We love to soak in hot springs - but the water has to be hot, hot, hot!! The onsen at this hotel was not hot enough for me. Although the location is very convenient - walking distance everywhere - I will not stay here again because of the onsen. The staff was AMAZING!!!! So kind and helpful - never ever will experience this type of service in the USA!!!

Nice hotel in the center of historical part of Shimoda. Onsen was great! Reasonable prices and good hotel staff will make your journey unforgettable. Also plum blossom festival in February is worth visiting!

Even though the building is old, it was still well maintained and was a pleasure to stay in. The room was clean and well presented. The private onsen bath was amazing and over looked the port and ships. The breakfast was great.

It was OK, will try different hotel next time
Nothing special because our room was self-service rate. Hot spring bath was Ok, not great. The employees were all nice. One bad service was that they charged us $3+ for each small bucket of ice even the hotel doesn’t have a ice machine.
