Three sides of the house border a wild, path-free forest marsh, where you can enjoy the terrace or relax by the fire pit completely undisturbed. The garden attracts visits from woodpeckers and squirrels, which bring life to the green surroundings.
You will be staying in the middle of scenic surroundings with the Gudenåen river, the Silkeborg lakes, and a public bathing area just around the corner. The rolling forests and the unique heath hills of Sindbjerg and Stoubjerg are less than a kilometer away. At the same time, you have excellent shopping opportunities, a city bus to Silkeborg, and trains to Herning, Aarhus, or Skanderborg nearby.

The small cottage Idyl is perfect for a stay near Silkeborg. It’s easy to get there by car, and there’s plenty of parking right next to the house.
The house itself is cozy and tastefully decorated. It has everything you need.
The cottage is in a fantastic location with the forest right outside and just a 2-minute walk from the water.

The place was recently renovated and is in impeccable condition. Everything works, and it has everything you need for a stay—actually, even more than that ;-)
The immediate surroundings are a bit upscale, but there are some interesting buildings. So it’s great that this place is located on the edge of this neighborhood, right next to the forest.
The terrace behind the house is absolutely quiet, and you’re right in the middle of nature. We planned to go out for a meal, but we liked it so much here that we ended up cooking for ourselves the whole time.
It’s great that the fjord is just a 5-minute walk away, and we were able to use it for swimming and for our boats and SUPs.
...only then do you realize how quickly a week goes by.
