Rucksack Inn @ Tyrwhitt

The hostel has a good location, with a lot of dining options within walking distance. The staff were very friendly and I found the hostel to be both clean and comfortable to stay in. Sadly, there was a problem with the Wifi during my stay, and it caused me some problems.

Economy Airport Stopover

A simple train ride from the airport by rail. Tapped foreign credit card for cheap ticket. Hostel had hot shower a bunk for a few hours and great WiFi with microwave for a snack. A good option if there's along time between flights. Lavender station close by. Staff very efficient and friendly.

Nice hostel at affordable price

Had a comfortable stay at the hostel. It's like a no frills hostel with clean facilities. Staff was a bit unadjusting while checking out but managed anyway

FIrst time at Pine Hostel

First time in a hostel. Experience was really good. Short walk from train station makes it a convenient spot to set up shop. Friendly staff. Week night stay, so the three of us had the entire room to ourselves. Only issue for me was the men's bathroom. Water leakage in toilet area was not desirable, but not a big deal. Shower was spacious with good water pressure and heat. Room was comfortable. Really enjoyed it.

Not impressed, but it'll do in a pinch

The place is a little run down, the a/c wasn't cold enough, and the amenities were lacking. I slept alright though. Decent location. For a little more money you can get much better accommodations elsewhere.

Basic but friendly.

This was a decent hostel. Nice staff. The room was crowded with bunkbeds and the bathroom was on a separate floor. There was a shared tv room without ac and free internet. The breakfast was toast, jam and coffee or tea. On the whole I found it a bit overpriced.

Basic but good accommodation for a family

We are a family of 4, travelling with two boys aged 9 and 5. Due to the price of accommodation in Singapore, we opted for a hostel to stay at. The facilities at the hotel were excellent (computers, some where to sit and chill out). We were able to do homeschool work and had access to computers which really helped.

Cheap and Cheerful

The girls room was super we were only four of us. The air conditioning in the room was super as Singapore is hot! It was so nice getting back to the room. The staff are very friendly however i arrived at 5:30 in the morning and the doors were shut and my phone had no airtime so could not call anyone to open the doors. When the doors finally open the staff were very nice allowed me to have breakie and take a showers after my long bus ride. The hotel is 10 mins from Lavendar station.Burgis is one stop away good for tourists. I met two amazing girls at the hostel and we spent the days together. Best bit about hostels. The hostel was clean, staff friendly and convenient to get to.

Great location!

Great location,only 5min from Lavender MRT & same MRT line with Changi. Clean & comfy room with nice bed,pillow & blanket. Separated rest-room for man & woman. Good room ventilation. Will definately recommend this hostel to my friends.
