Average that needs upgrade. Checking-in took a very long time especially after a tedious flight after midnight. 2 rooms booked for king size bed respectively but only one available ended up with a 2 separate beds--very disappointing when already booked months ahead. Fridge was warm then discovered by maintenance staff it was plugged in to the wrong socket..unable to drink my beers after 2 days. Overall the service was good!!

We had to change our room because the bathroom was so small. Terrible and lots of mold growing. They moved us to another room with a bigger bathroom and everything was OK but after the second day, we could not control the AC and it was very cold. The area was very busy because of Ramadan and we had to wait long time for a taxi over 1/2 hour.

Good stay in Singapore

We really enjoyed our stay at the Village Hotel Bugis. The location was great- three blocks to the MRT, two blocks to the Sultan mosque, great eateries all around. Huge shopping center by the MRT. The beds were comfortable, the room was very quiet, and the pool was lovely to cool off in, after a big day of sightseeing.

One star off due to its age, the hotel and the rooms are really dated. Otherwise a very good hotel overall. Staff are helpful, location is great, five-minuet walk to Bugis Street and shopping malls. MRT station (Bugis) also around. One 7-11 right across the hotel. And very easy to call for Grab (taxi)usually a short 3-5 minute wait.

The property is extremely tired and expensive for the condition of the rooms. The safe and the fridge in our room didn't work. There was rot in the timber on the bottom of the bathroom door. They had cut some of it out rather than replacing the door and the trimmings. The most disappointing stay of a 3 week trip.
