We picked this hotel and paid more than what we would have for a standard room in Sioux Falls for access to the waterpark. When we arrived, there was a tiny printed sign at the desk that the waterpark would be closed for planned maintenance during the duration of our stay. No one called and the front desk just shrugged when we arrived. We paid $50 to use the pool down the street. I inquired about getting some money back on our second day and the front desk staff had trouble maintaining a conversation and could use some coaching on basic customer service. Thankfully Expedia was helpful.

Our room was great. Seemed updated. Clean. A nice note on the bedside stand. Hotel smelled clean. Parking and access into the building was great with multiple doors. Outdoor pool was lovely. Breakfast was super disappointing. Very few options. Tons of people so food was always out as there were about 7 total options. Dirty tables and chairs. Areas around the food were super dirty at all times. Juices were always out. Lastly the fun indoor pool area was CLOSED for most of the day saturday. And when it did open it was first the small kids area but the water was winter water cold so little kids wouldnt play and the slide was closed until 530pm. We came to this hotel and stayed away from the rest of our group to give our kids a mini vacation and they kept lying about the pools opening all day saturday.

We stay at this hotel a decent amount due to the closeness to the ice complex. This was a so-so stay this time. While I did appreciate their ability to accommodate an early check in, the room that we got was the least favorite of the times we have stayed there. It always seemed to be damp and muggy in there, and while it is a non smoking hotel there was a stoop right outside the door where others smoked that would come into the hallway. We enjoyed the breakfast in the morning. Overall we will stay there again. But will be asking not to stay in the same room.

The property was well taken care of and the rooms were very nce for our stay. The only suggestion I have is that they need more signage in the halls. It is very hard to find your way around!
