Room number 9 is awesome

Beautiful room, very nicely furnished. One of the few in Iceland that had a tv in the room. Close to town with several options for dinner.

The front desk of this guesthouse operates until 10 p.m., and the management is strict—the kitchen is locked right on time. There’s a private hot tub and sauna in front of the house, but we arrived too late that day to use them. Breakfast was simple. I forgot my iPad when I left, and it was the staff who texted me and brought me back to retrieve it.

Amazing property and great service . One of the best properties I stayed at during my 8 day trip where I was staying at a different place each day . They provide free breakfast and also have hot tub on the property where I can see the mountains while sitting in the hot tub. If it was possible to give more than 5 stars I would give it. Hands down one of the nicest property .

Very nice hostel with hot tub and sauna with nice view. Maybe the kitchen is a bit small if a big group of people is there at same time but in general I recommend!!! Very nice place!!

Very nice hotel in beautiful location! The views in and around were incredible. Mountains to both sides with incredible views even in the breakfast room. We were there when the day was 22 hours long, at the night it was still pretty bright, and the blackout shades were not great at achieving actual darkness in the room. This is a problem we had with 5 of 6 of the hotels we stayed at in Iceland, so not atypical. Sauna and hot tub, both had nice views, were also very nice. The many farm animals were friendly.

The location is wonderful. Especially loved the horses greeting me on arrival and again the next day. Also loved the hot tub and sauna with a view. Everything looked new and clean. Loved that the bedroom was in total darkness even with 24 hours of daylight.

Karuna is in a very quiet quiet area. There's a vast land and mountain ranges behind the property. There's a beautiful restaurant in the property. There's also a common kitchen, equipped with everything you'll need. Our room was very spacious. It looks like a newly constructed place, or just well maintained. It has a home-y feel. It also has a hot tub and sauna facing the mountains. It's a good place to stargaze and try to find Aurora. Although it was cloudy that night, so no luck for us. We'll definitely go back if I happen to be around the area again.

La habitación, aunque pequeña fue funcional. Y en general tenía buen aspecto y limpio. Lo único desafortunado fue el olor fuerte a azufre saliendo de las cañerías del baño. Impregnando toda la habitación. Muy desagradable. Entiendo que se debe al área, pero tomar en cuenta si eres sensitivo a los olores.

Good clean property for one night stay. We used the kitchen to cook a simple dinner since we checked in rather late and don’t want to drive another 14KM to the nearest town for dinner. The staffs are very friendly. We were told at check in time that the continental breakfast is included in the price which is a nice surprise. Overall, we had a great stay and definitely recommend it.

what a gorgeous place. the surrounding is beautiful, the rooms are great BUT, we could NOT take a shower, because the hot water is natural volcanic water which smells and we did not appreciate the fact that we did not know this. the place is immaculate hot tob, sauna overlooking the mountains. just sad about the hot water.

Beautiful and well appointed. Loved the huge communal area. Makes up for the small sleeping rooms. We spent the evening playing cards and then watched a movie. At 1AM the sunset was STUNNING. RED SKY across 180 degrees of the horizon lighting up all the snow capped mountains. Thank you for sharing your space with us. We were supposed to get an email about our room number before 14:00 but someone forgot. We had to take the keys left on the counter and open all three rooms in order to find our room. We are 4 people so it was not difficult. Just wanted to tell you we had to do that. Instructions were there for another party but not for us. We figured it out.
