Decent accommodation near Slough
Can't fault the service at all, the staff were all excellent, especially the breakfast team. If I were to stay here again I would probably avoid the gatehouse (room 28). Although it's a nice room it's very near the road and traffic starts at 5am sharp, you can hear everything.

Could do with a refresh
Nice enough. The public rooms are nicely decotarted but the bedrooms need some work. The garden room I was in was tired. For example in the bathroom (which was freezing cold) the plastic film on the windows for privacy was half peeled off. The room needed double glazing and some better heating. Also housekeeping missed things like shower gel. On the plus side the staff were lovely and restaurant food very good

Tired and shabby
I found the exterior and reception really nice but there was a shabbiness to the bedroom and bar . Could do with a lick of paint especially skirting boards. My room was on the top floor , up a very narrow steep staircase which was difficult with bags to carry . There are no lifts.

Very poor room really spoiled good service & food
The room was in a really poor state of repair, and stunk of stale cigarettes we were offered the room opposite but it had no heat and a portable electric panel heater to try and get it warm so we decided to stay put - but after some time realised the the heating was so noisy it kept us up, as it was a very late check in and we were really tired and needed to be up and away early in the morning. On the plus staff were friendly and breakfast was nice.
