Notloftet is a cozy and intimate apartment on the second floor above a boathouse at Veiholmen’s inner harbor. The light and friendly atmosphere make it a great place for a small family or two couples, and the view of the sea and the harbor extends from the living room out onto the terrace.



The decor blends new and old with a nod to the area’s maritime fishing history. You’ll find two double bedrooms, a shared bathroom, and a well-equipped kitchen and living room. New beds ensure a good night’s sleep, and the terrace offers both morning and evening sun. For those seeking sunshine, there are also seating areas facing southwest.



There’s a sandy beach on Veiholmen, and there are marked hiking trails in the immediate area. If you have a car, you can also explore the beautiful “Stikk-Ut” hikes on the main island of Smøla. If you’d like to paddle in the archipelago, Smøla Kayak offers daily tours. Parking is available on the property.



Veiholmen is a quiet coastal community where you can stroll around, chat with locals, and shop at the well-stocked grocery store. Restaurant OlsenNaustet, featuring original beams from the 1700s, serves regional dishes for lunch and dinner; reservations are recommended. A small coffee shop offering pastries and open-faced sandwiches is located right next to the store.
