The trip was to take a ride on the train in Cass . We were there to enjoy a pleasant time with expected accommodations to be appropriate (clean, comfortable and accessible) None of which were available or a person to express our disappointment. We left a day early because of the conditions.
Great condo, hotel.com didnât give any chk in info
The condo itself was lovely. Very clean, comfortable blankets and pillows. We appreciated how nice it was. The issue is that we showed up at 9 oâclock on Friday night and there were no signs, no information on how we were supposed to check in. I ended up wandering the village and I found another couple who told me they had the same experience and let me know where to go. If youâre going to rent out rooms at hotels.com, you need to give better information on what to do when you arrive.
One of the best mountain/ slopes views, right in the Snowshoe village, steps from everywhere, even the shuttle. Cozy apartment, with everything you need.
Overall, a very nice room and property. We had a couple problems with electronic key access (to our room and to the front door). While inconvenient, staff always addressed the problems quickly. Make sure you read the check-in instructions and look over maps so you know where to check, etc.
Overall, very nice...we will be back and stay in the Highland House.
When we arrived we could not get in our building. The place was like a ghost town. Finally found another building that we could get in. Turns out thatâs where we were to check in. No information was ever provided to tell us that. No signs either. I called numbers for the Highland house and was told they were closed for the day. It was around 6. You would think phones could be forwarded to the desk in Allegheny where we finally found a person. . Almost everything was closed. Weâre unable to take advantage of the amenities. Disappointed.
Check in was awful. There was no direction on where to go for check in. We walked around for an hour before we found someone coming out of the highland house to ask. Overall a great stay! Nice room. Now that I know where to check in at I would book again.
I really enjoyed this property. I will start with one thing that can be improved and move to the rest which is positive.
1. Check-in location is NOT at the highland location. Itâs up the street in a separate building. Several attempts to call and find out did not go well. I realized this was an ongoing issue as another family was wondering around trying to find the check-in location. Once I located the check-in location my experience got much better.
2. Unloading the car and finding the room was easy, the room looked amazing (I recommend the 4th floor which is the top floor).
3. The room was warm and had a fireplace and porch/balcony looking over snowshoe. I would recommend getting updated pictures of the property as the property looked much better than what was displayed on Hotels.com (this is a good problem IMO).
4. You get a locker to lockup your snowboarding/ski equipment thatâs easily accessible from the slopes.
5. Location was right in the middle of the village which made getting coffee/food easy.
6. Parking is across the street, you get a parking pass. Make sure itâs showing as I noticed a tow truck making its rounds around the property (parking lot). I didnât see it towing anyone, but it was driving slow looking at each car. My car was just fine as I backed in with the parking pass showing. I took pictures just in case...
7. Checkout was easy by calling and giving your room number and location.
Wonderful property!
The property is beautiful. Our condo had mouse droppings on the bed and on the dining table. The fold out couch was broken. The heater made a ticking noise that was irritating.
