Avis pour 5 O'clock Somewhere - large home, hot tub & close to the beach!
This house was great! We had 13 of us stay and there was plenty of space, it was super cozy and comfortable under a great place to spend the weekend.Only things to know is that one of the bedroom says that six people can stay in it however there are two trundle beds and both cannot be pulled out at the same time. We also found that the hot tub was not very hot, there seem to be a limit on how high you could turn up the heat. Overall, it was very clean, very accommodating and a wonderful place to spend a dreary March weekend in Michigan.
We took a day trip to get out of the city and it was a ton of fun. Location was about a 20-30 min walk from South Haven and then the house itself was gorgeous! All our friends raved about how nice an new it was and how surprised we were with the quality of the property from the furniture to the silverware and soaps.
Several concerns:1. The description of the twin beds/bunks is not correct in the listing. There are several trundle twins not listed as such and there was not enough room for two of them to pull out all the way.2. I checked into several properties to find one that had a working hot tub and a ping pong table. These were my two main needs for the property besides space. The hot tub had a problem with its chemicals and it foamed up excessively after running it when it seemed like the smell was off. The ping pong table was not a ping pong table, but rather a table top put on top of a pool table. I saw this in the pictures but assumed it would be the correct size. I asked about this prior to renting and was not told of the size issue. In the end it didn't matter because the net was broken so we couldn't play if we wanted to.3. There was very little soap in the house. We had to go out and buy hand soap for several of the sinks because it wasn't provided. Also for a house rental holding so many people, more towels would have been nice. 4. There is something wrong with the wiring of the house. Circuit breakers were going off a lot and lights and fans flickered and restarted often.5. We were unable to watch TV because the rechargeable remote was dead and there was no cable for recharging. No one had the kind of cable needed.
Our extended family had a great week. The house is really comfortable and had space for those that had to do some work, kids that wanted to play ping pong for hours, and the people on full vacation mode. Easy to walk to South Beach. Would stay there again
