The location for this cabin is amazing! Itâs steps away from the river and is close driving distance to almost anything youâd want. Knowing this, we were so excited for our Tahoe weekend only to find that some of the cooking amenities didnât work as advertised and they have a small pest issue. Obviously, we understand that staying in a cabin in the woods can come with some additional woodland creatures, but we didnât expect to encounter an oven with a strong rodent smell and waking up to mouse droppings on the beds. Also, during our weekend the grill had propane but would not light. We were unable to reach the management company over the weekend, but they were responsive after our stay over email.
Pros:Good location. Cons:Beds are not comfyDownstairs bath door doesnt lock.Shower water is either too hot or too coldRest of the utensils, furnishing was ok. Living area had uneven lights making it look dark.
ok.so the house and property was overall stunning,,,the deck is in need of huge repairs.the toaster did not work the kitchen blender did not work...the house was extremely clean..all the beds and bedrooms were amazing.very quiet area.and easy 10 min drive right to down town south lake tahoe.
We really enjoyed our stay at the perfect little cabin! It was 10-15 from town, had plenty of space for all of us, and had everything we needed to make meals and head to the beach! I saw many reviews about their outside needing work, but it looks like it was already is progress with renovations!
Chipped counters, old bathrooms and uncomfortable seating. Beautiful River out behind cabin. Only two nasty folding chairs. Deck was dangerous. Nails and rotten boards. No paper towels. Washing machine had a broken knob. Zero response when we reached out to listed contact. Had to sign multiple contracts and
What a great find. This cabin was pretty secluded, no neighbors on either side & a gorgeous creek behind it. No better place for my outdoorsy 8 & 11 year old boys. Lots of room for us 4. Great kitchen set up to cook our own meals. ( although needed another kitchen towel & needed a m kitchen cloth) kids enjoyed upstairs loft. Had a TV upstairs & down.
Washer dryer convenient, but needed to dry clothes 2x, because dryer not great.
Over all a beautiful spot away from tourists, but 10 min away from town. Loved our visit for 6 days.
When you first drive up to the place it is a little disappointing. The front is in need some TLC. The deck is not in good shape. However, the inside is nice. Everything worked well. The neighborhood is quiet.
We enjoyed our stay.
Overall a nice experience. The river running by was a peaceful surprise.
Plenty of room, Quiet neighborhood.
Downside. Need handrails on first set of steps. Very unsafe, especially for seniors. Deck is in dire need of repair/replacement. Bad big black ant problem. It got very warm in the house and no air conditioning made it uncomfortable at times. Fans didn't help that much.
My group stayed at the Tahoe Paradise unit for a weekend ski/snowboard trip in February 2022. The unit was spacious, cozy, warm, and comfortable for our group, and was conveniently located for the commute to Kirkwood as well as Heavenly. The cabin was well stocked with kitchen equipment, and we were able to host multiple group meals in the warmth of the home.
The location overall was convenient for our travels to both Kirkwood and Heavenly directions, and easy to locate right off the highway. I would recommend checking in with the property managers if there was significant snowfall prior to check-in; our group did run into some delays settling in due to the driveway not being shoveled, so we had to wait for assistance (which came promptly!).
Had a most restful stay at this beautiful cabin. Loved the decor and the beds were very comfortable. There was plenty of room for my entire family to spread out. The Upper Truckee River running behind the property was especially nice. Went to sleep to the sound of a babbling brook.
The experience was great. The only thing was there were a lot of spiders inside the house. Didnât sleep good after two crawled on me in the middle of the night.
The location was great, away from the hustle and bustle of the main strip. Also if you venture in front of the cabin you will find creek which was so peaceful especially in the morning.
The downside was part of the deck felt like it was going to break anytime soon.
This was an interesting experience, here's the good, the bad and the ugly. First of all the good, the location was great! This place was far enough out of town that we didn't have to deal with all of the crowds downtown. The neighborhood was beautiful and we very much enjoyed the forested surroundings. It was also close enough to town that heading in for supplies or fun activities was a short trip. We stayed here with our family of 6 and we were very comfortable, there was plenty of space. The kitchen and living room area provided plenty of space and we were comfortable. Now the bad, it appears that the owners may be updating slowly. This means that there are some updated things, but quite a few broken things as well. The screens were ripped, furniture was wobbly, the porch seemed like it would disintegrate beneath our feet, etc. Everything ended up fine, but I would suggest the owners repairing a few more broken items. The ugly is just that the decor is a big outdated. But really, I could tell that from the pictures and it didn't really bother us as the location and size of space was most important to us.
We had a great stay at this property
Being steps away from truckee river was awesome. 15 minute drive to downtown south lake Tahoe. I would stay here again
