Between Fall Creek Falls, Burgess Falls and Rock Island State Parks
This 3 bedroom and 2 bath rental was previously a parsonage and has been renovated into a rustic rental house. It is attached to but not accessible from the dining hall and lodge. These are two separate, private rentals. This house has a full kitchen with a stove, microwave, dishwasher, refrigerator, disposal, pots and pans, coffee pot, dishes and utensils. It has a washroom with a washer and dryer. There are fresh linens and towels. The dining room table seats four with a bar counter that seats an additional four. The living room has a love seat, couch and a 55' television with cable. The bonus room has a television, futon couch, games and books. The master has a queen bed, the second bedroom has a queen bed and the third bedroom has a full bed. A rollaway bed is also available in the third bedroom closet, if needed. There is also a propane grill and outdoor fire pit. You will have access to 45 acres of rolling hills, woods and trail leading to the rivers edge. Plenty of room for the entire family to come out and unwind!
Great house. Quiet location. Close to hiking trails.
My best friend and I stayed at this property for a weekend hiking trip at Fall Creek Falls State Park. We were very close to Sparta as well. We loved the house and thought it was perfect for our stay. Thank you for taking such good care of us and having some nice amenities and snacks available. We highly recommend this property to anyone else looking for a place to stay in the area!
Actually, my wife and I only needed someplace to lay our heads at night, so we really didnât need a lot of extras. The home appears to be the parsonage of an older church building. Kinda cute. If you have kids or larger pets, you may have issues with the small yard space and the proximity to the road. As a plumber, I notice different things. One of the shower faucets has a bad, improperly installed cartridge and is difficult to adjust. Otherwise no complaints.
The property was perfect for what we needed. A great location between the parks, and comfortable accommodations. It was very clean and had the pots and pans we needed for light cooking.
It was overall a wonderful experience. Property was in view of mountains and it was breathtaking. The house was beautiful and clean. We definitely felt like we were at home.
The best part was the shower where both shower heads worked at the same time. It was a cute house. I suggest you make a stone walking path to the back where the fir pit is to keep people from walkin in mud. Also let future guest know that there is absolutely no cell phone service to make sure they save the instructions on how to get in pr put the wifi pasword on the door. We had to go in to town to get service to retreave the code for the door. As a bnb owner we strive to make sure there is soap shampoo, coffee sugar and basic creamer so customers dont have to go find these simple items while traveling. 5 star
My team travelled from all over TN and KY to film in Sparta and we needed both a comfy place to sleep and a beautiful place to film. Cunningham Cabin fit both, and they allowed "events" which meant we were allowed to subhost the entire cast and crew while we worked. Communication with Kathy and her team was effortless, and they were happy to oblige our crazy ideas as we made our Christmas short film at the cabin and the beautiful creek on their property. Check in and check out were painless. The only downside was the creek is into the property a little ways and there's stairs leading down maybe 40'. Carrying movie equipment up and down the stairs made my legs hurt, but whose fault is that? My fault. So Cunningham Cabins and Kathy get 5 stars, me not working out my legs so they get sore walking up stairs gets 2.5 stars. Haha. But seriously: very cozy cabin, lovely host, out-of-the-way location, and beautiful Middle Tennessee scenery. Recommended!
Son and his family recently moved to Sparta, staying here allowed us to visit with them and put no stress on them.
Great place. Will possibly book again.
Loved this property. Very clean and beautiful home. Did have to message the owner to ask about access to the creek, got a response very quickly. Very quiet, big enough for a large family! We traveled about 4 hours to visit Fall Creek Falls, will definitely return if the opportunity arises!
We have stayed at this location with this host before and we love it here. There are great amenities and it's in a wonderful location accessible to so many great things to see. Enjoyed our trip and we'll be back.
The house had great space for us and we enjoyed the coziness of the living room. Unfortunately, the outside space was not as cozy. The grill had a wasp nest in it and it was a long walk to get to the outside space, so cooking out really wasn't an option. We were really disappointed with that part and spent no time out there. The description also mentioned a creek and trails, which I'm assuming are part of the main property. Since this house sits in a different part, an invitation and directions would have been helpful. We enjoyed our stay, but had to adapt our plans based on the outdoor space situation.
