Welcome to Family Tides, a beautiful beach vacation home featuring spacious living areas, 2 large furnished screened porches, beachy décor, extra large community Olympic sized swimming pool and a short walk to St. George Island's award winning sugar white sand beaches. This home is dog friendly, so bring your whole family!
Located in Resort Village, a small community of homes just 1 mile inside the St. George Plantation gate. Just a few steps out the door lies the largest swimming pool on the island with an Olympic sized 50 meter lap lane, abundant swimming areas for older kiddos and adults, plus a separate shallow pool for the "kiddies". This elegantly shaped pool is surrounded by lush tropical landscaping complete with tables, large shade umbrellas and lounge chairs, so all you have to bring is your family, friends and snacks!
Guests also have access to all other Plantation community amenities, including tennis courts, pickle ball courts, fitness center, beach boardwalks and Bob Sikes Cut. There are 11 miles of paved multi-use pathways spanning the island. There is a myriad of nature trails woven throughout the community - a true wonderland paradise.
Across the bridge, Eastpoint's craft brewery and seafood markets offer local flavors. Then just another 10 minutes from Eastpoint you'll find historic Apalachicola (world famous for oysters & seafood) featuring trendy shops, culinary delights, arts, seasonal scenic air boat rides, entertainment and more.
The exterior of this home offers under-house concrete parking for 2, uncovered space for up to 4 more cars and 2 covered entry doors. There is an elevator for guest use that will help you easily carry up all your goodies! There is an outside fish cleaning table to clean your fresh catch along with a park-style charcoal grill, as well as an outdoor enclosed shower to rinse off after your day of fun in the sun. The laundry room with washer/dryer is located on the foyer/ground floor. There is a complimentary dog kennel provided for occasions when your pup needs a place to stay while you're away.
The first floor boasts 3 living spaces and 2 dining tables in a loft style, split level floor plan. The upper living room offers a flat screen smart TV and stereo/radio, DVD/CD player with speakers on the first & second floors plus both screened porches. A split level half flight staircase leads down to 2 additional open living spaces which includes 2 queen sleeper sofas along with their love seats and access to a covered screened porch with a table for 8. The well appointed kitchen with stainless appliances and granite counters is perfect for preparing meals! The high top dining table seats 8 and is sure to be a favorite gathering spot for meals, puzzles and games. An additional 4 seat multi-use gaming and eating table located next to the living room flows nicely to the open kitchen/dining area.
Sleeping accommodations start on the second floor. The first is the king bedroom with master bathroom, smart TV plus direct access to the covered screened porch with pool view. The second is the queen bedroom with smart TV and master bathroom. The third bedroom offers a queen bed with smart TV and access to the covered screened porch with pool view. The fourth bedroom has 2 twin beds and smart TV. A shared full bathroom is located between bedrooms 3 & 4.
Limit of 1 dog up to 100 lbs. or 2 dogs up to 25 lbs. each. No cats; owner has severe allergies! This is a NON-SMOKING property. Golf carts are not allowed with rentals in the Plantation.

Property had easy access to both the ocean and pool. The home had lots of space for puzzles and card games. Kitchen had all the meal prep/cooking/serving items we needed. All three generations present had a great vacation!

Great house - good location with a short walk to the beach. You don’t have a view of the beach from the house but it does overlook the pool area. The house kitchen is very well stocked (and labeled). It is the best stocked kitchen in terms of dishes and cookware of any home we have ever stayed in! Great set up for sleeping and visiting!

Family Tides is a nice, well equipped house. Definitely a better fit for dog owners since there is dog hair on furniture and even in washing machine. Plenty of space for our party of 9. Our only real issue was WiFi. No internet service for some device connections almost like there was a throttle. Problem was finally resolved on Tuesday evening. GCVP was very responsive to every issue we encountered. Had a really good experience with them after a very poor experience with a different rental agency 2 years ago. Resort Village pool is very convenient. Beach access is about a 3 minute walk and closest access requires walk up/down steps over sand dunes so plan beach gear accordingly.

Perfect for our yearly family trip!
This is our second year vacating on St George Island and the second time we’ve rented a house in the plantation. We’ve also rented many other beach houses on the gulf and on the Atlantic. Family Tides was one of the best houses we’ve ever rented. This house was very spacious and well equipped. Location was convenient, a quick ( 1 mile) from the gate house and while not beachfront, it was a quick and relatively easy walk to the beach. Access to the house was via key code and worked very well. The house has an elevator that goes to all levels which made day of arrival and departure much easier!The property manager was very responsive when things came up. What really made the difference with this house was how comfortable and well equipped this house was. Comfort - there were multiple sitting areas and family areas that were all comfortable places to hang out. There were plenty of games and puzzles to engage the whole family during evenings or a rainy day. Well equipped - this was the game changer. The kitchen was extremely well equipped. We brought many items with us that we’ve needed on previous vacations and a lot of it came back with us as this house already had it. The laundry room was stocked with plenty of clean beach/pool towels for guest use. This was a great rental experience from booking to departure. We will definitely look to book Family Tides again.

It was such a wonderful week on the island; great weather, quiet beach, breezy biking, good food and a fantastic rental home. Family Tides I was spotless and so well appointed, lots of light inside, an easy walk to the beach, with absolutely everything you need. GCV Properties were responsive and accommodating. Will totally rent again through them.
