Additional note, home is professionally cleaned before each stay.
Host communicated very well and was very helpful. With the one way street itâs kind of confusing but the directions are very clear so that made getting to the place easy. Place was very clean and as advertised. Location was an easy walk to the bars and restaurants. Would definitely recommend staying here.
The location of this house is pretty good, near the end of the main street area of St. Charles. It's an easy walk down to coffee shops and restaurants, but far enough not to hear hubbub in the evening. The house is cool and comfortable, well equipped for several guests, and it is stocked with the essentials - coffee pods, breakfast bars, soap, etc., so you don't have to run out and buy things right off. I am glad I rented this house.
Love this place!! The attention to details for everything that was available in the house for our needs. So relazing sitting by the pool. Everything was just perfect.
Our group of 7 (64 yr old women) stayed for 3 nights. The listing says itâs walking distance to downtown, but it requires going up and down a steep hill for 3 blocks. The outdoor area was nice but poorly maintainedâone friend fell through a dry-rotted chair. We also noticed water in the entryway, likely from an upstairs shower. After our stay, I was billed 199 for a damaged mattress with no pictures or proof of purchase of a new one provided. Despite multiple messages (and VRBO also contacting him), the owner has not responded through the recommended way of communication through VRBO. The lack of communication and maintenance issues made this a disappointing experience.Beware of added âhost feeâ at time of booking.
The Clark Brick House was a great place to stay. The communication with Nolan was amazing. Nolan responded within an hour of our message. The check-in and out was easy. The home was as describe online. It was spacious, clean, well stocked with items that I was not expecting. Although we were in town for our son's wedding and did not have a lot of extra time, we were able to enjoy the yard and pool for a relaxing time. The location was three blocks from main street and an easy walk. We enjoyed our stay very much and would stay here again.
Attended a family wedding at a nearby venue and loved the location! Perfect house for a group with plenty of space and the pool was an added bonus! Three couples and one 12 yr old enjoyed hanging out together and relaxing. Although the kitchen was a tad small we were able to cook a great meal for the whole crew! Also what a great host - very responsive.
We had an amazing stay at this house in St. Charles over the 4th of July! The location couldnât have been more perfectâthe parade went right by the house, giving us front-row seats to all the fun without having to leave the property. The pool was incredibly refreshing after a warm day, and the house itself was spotlessâtruly the cleanest vacation rental weâve ever stayed in.It was beautifully appointed, comfortable, and had everything we needed for a relaxing and enjoyable stay. You can tell the owners put a lot of thought into making the space welcoming and functional. Communication with the owner was smooth and easy from start to finish.Weâre already talking about coming back next year. Highly recommend!
We used the Clark brick house as a meetup with my parents. Three queen bedrooms with amenities for the bathrooms and towels for the pool. Dining table was spacious enough for our two families to eat. Multiple hang out areas with plenty of tv sets and board game and puzzle stocked cabinets. Keurig coffee maker with pods provided. A short walk will take you to French town and the historic downtown of St. Charles with great food, coffee, and shopping as well as the Katy Trail. If our travels take us back to the area, I hope we can stay here again.
This is a great place! Our family of 4 had a great time at the Clark brick house. The place looks exactly like the pictures. The rooms were spacious and bright. The main floor has a sitting room, living room, kitchen, dining room, 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. The second floor has a sitting room, living room, office area, bedroom and bathroom. The kitchen was well stocked. The outside area and pool were amazing! It's also a short walk to north main Street where there are lots of shops, restaurants and coffee shops. A large grocery store is only about a 5 minute drive. It's an easy 30 minute drive into St. Louis. Communication with the owner was also great. Definitely recommend staying here!
This was the perfect place for three retired friends to meet! The house was wonderful, the pool very refreshing and it was close to the historic downtown!
Family of 6 visiting St Louis for a wedding and a couple Cardinal games. Decided to explore St Charles on this trip and glad we did. Neat area. The home was just a couple blocks from Historic Main St. We absolutely loved the home. Plenty of space to be together but also plenty of space to spread out and feel like you have your own space if needed. Everything is well-cared for and communication with Dylan was FANTASTIC! Weather didn't really cooperate to be able to use the pool but we did get in and wade a little our last day. Had it been hot on our trip we would have spent a lot of time cooling off in it. Would definitely recommend the property and should we choose to stay in St Charles again in the future, I would certainly book this property again!
Our stay at the Clark Brick House was perfect. There was plenty of room to spread out and the patio and pool area were a nice spot to relax and spend time together. We had the best pool weather, so we gathered there in the afternoon on many days. The house was very well-stocked in all rooms - kitchen, bedrooms and bathrooms. We were able to easily prepare meals and snacks, and then had a large dining area to enjoy them. When we wanted to go out, Main Street St. Charles was only a few blocks away. We shopped, dined, and had drinks throughout our stay. Dylan was a great host. I would definitely recommend this house and look forward to returning in the future.
Dylan was so accommodating. The home is spacious and charming. Wonderful multi-genrational graduation for (2), Happy 21st and 33rd bday and Mother's Day!Thank you,
My family thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Location to downtown was great! Dylan was very easy to communicate with and in a timely manner. Highly recommend!
Annual visit to see extended familyAlways great to be able to gather and the Clark Brick HouseDylan and team are always attentive to us on our stays, this being #4
I was very impressed with how clean and well stocked the house was. Nicely decorated with comfortable furnishings . The historic district of St. Charles boasts old world charm and the house is right in the heart of it all.. Rooms/spaces were large and the layout allowed for plenty of space for our group to spread out. The owner was very responsive and check-in was a breeze.
We had a great welcome the new baby celebration with both grandparents and great grandma. We enjoyed all the kitchen extras and happy we didnât need to purchase any full size products for cooking. I couldnât get the 2nd dishwasher to work. So the first one got a work out.
It was great to have extra blankets and fans for the various needs of our party. The pamphlets in the entrance of house came in handy. I didnât realize how close we were to Town. We enjoyed the market on Saturday morning before college football.
Thank you for being flexible in meeting our needs and date changes. We hope to visit again.
I never found the instructions for what to do before checking out. We threw out all the trash and gathered the upstairs laundry and put it with the washer. I canât remember if I started the dishwasher with the odds and ends.
Great property. Close to Main Street in St Charles. Very clean and stocked with everything we needed in the kitchen, bathrooms and bedrooms. Definitely will be back the next time we travel to St Charles with family or friends.
The house is centrally located to historical Main Street. The house was spotless and well stocked. The manager Dylan was great and very prompt when I would text with a question. The whole experience was very good.
