I understand that the hotel had a fire and some renovations had been done but the rooms were not vacuumed and the bathroom had dirt,dust, and hair on the floor. The tub had hair in it also. We had to ask for and get our own towels as well.

The hotel definitely needs updating and a deep clean. The room was dirty, dusty, patched curtains, and several other issues. The AC unit wouldn’t cool below 74 which made it warm to sleep. You could tell it hadn’t been vacuumed in awhile. The carpet on the floor hallway was coming up, tripping happened constantly, and it was dirty. I wouldn’t let my child walk around without shoes on, even in the room. There was a damp smell to the entire hotel. Overall I was disappointed as the photos showed a beautiful and clean La Quinta and it definitely failed to live up to even basic standards.

Staff was very friendly and helpful. The property is convenient and accessible. 20-30 minutes to shopping, and attractions. When I opened the fridge in my room and found left over food and drink, front desk offered to send someone to clean up, which wasn’t necessary, the only thing I wasn’t expecting was the $150.00 deposit, the most I was charged at other properties was between $50.00-$100.00, but I did receive the money back four days later.

We stayed last minute for the Halsey concert 6/18. The location is good, it’s easy to find and parking was easy to navigate. I’m a travel agent, so I travel often. La Quinta’s are usually my go-to lower budget hotel for the cleanliness standards alone. I cannot tell you how filthy this hotel was. The lobby is fine, but once you got into the elevator all illusions shattered. There was small pieces of… trash? I think? Tracked through the hallway. My room had some sort of brown liquid dripping down the wall (I have pictures of this). The bed and sheets were clean and bug free so we stayed and didn’t make a fuss because that’s all we needed anyway. The next day we go to get breakfast - except the guy checking us in didn’t tell us when it ended, simply that it was available “in the morning”. At 10:30 when we went to go eat, the front desk agent acted like we had committed a cardinal sin for simply walking towards the breakfast area. So, I will not be returning. I will find other places in STL to stay from now on.
