Dirty underwear in room,trash in room.TV did not work.Light did not work.The hotel took money from my account after I choose the pay at property option.The hotel took money from my account before I arrived at the hotel.The manager made no effort to correct the situation.The manager has not attempted to contact me after leaving a message with staff to do so. I will never stay at this motel again and I am very disappointed in Hotels.Com lack of action in this matter.

We was on a family trip to six flags. The hotel we was supposed to stay at canceled us last minute. I booked at Wingate and we received a text from the front desk personel, not a robot. She stated our room was booked and asked if we needed anything. I let her know we was at six flags and would be arriving late. She said no problem you guys enjoy your day and have fun. How many hotels do that, it was a first for me. We got there later and she had everybody's reservation paperwork all lined up and was ready to check us in which took less than 5 minutes. We rewarded her with pizza. Outstanding

The room was smelling bad, and dusty. We spent three nights and have not enjoyed single bit. St. Louis is a great city but this hotel does not deserve this name/brand. Highly disappointed.

Outside Area felt unsafe , dark with warning signs to remove valuables from car. Room had a strong smell of mold. Bathroom needed maintenance. The bed was comfortable and the free breakfast had many items to choose from.

We found our rooms to have questions about whether they had been cleaned recently. Dirty toilet bowl, one hand towel and four bath towels (doesn’t make sense). Soap dispensers in shower had very little amounts left suggesting they had not been refilled recently. The rooms smelled like cigarette smoke. We witnessed a woman fall immediately in front of the welcome desk, land on her hip and hit her head, causing a cut and swelling above her eye. EMS was called by a housekeeper while the person working the desk went to get ice. It took him over ten minutes to return. We were told he went to the hotel next door because both of the ice machines in the Wyndham didn’t work. They had no emergency kit available to assist in such situations.

I have never had a bad hotel experience until this one. On the way to our room, we noticed that the hallways and elevators were filthy. Upon entering our room, the first thing we noticed was a Walmart bag tied around the smoke detector. Somebody obviously was smoking in the room and didn't want it to be detected. There was a bodily fluid with hair in it on the nightstand, feces in the toilet, and no shower curtain. I have photos. We went down to the front desk to get a different room and they said that they are sold out, but since there were a few parties that had a reservation and not shown up yet, she gave us a different room on the same floor. There were dirty towels outside that door and when we open the door the light was on and there were no sheets on the beds, no towels, and the room had not been cleaned yet from the previous guests. There was another family right across the hall from us who walked into the same situation. We went back down to the desk and told them the room was dirty and they said we could go ahead and check out. She checked us out and took my name and number and told me that a manager would call me the next day. A manager did not call me and we were charged for the room on my credit card. It is now 4 Days later and I have called the hotel one to two times a day for the past 4 days. Brad answers the phone and he will not give me the manager's name nor phone number and told me that he will not give me a refund. He hung up on me twice.

This is tough to review without being rude. Our stay was for 3 nights. Our room was never on housekeeping's clean list. I caught housekeeping 3 days to get clean towels, etc. for the bathroom. Housekeeping was super nice and helpful. Shout out to Shery and Shannon. The room was itself was fine. Big closet for hanging clothes and several work areas for computer work. On checkout, there were no baggage carts. The vending machine "decided" to not take bills and required quarters. I needed 2 bottles of water at $3 each. I approached the desk for change and they only had $3 in quarters total. I was able to get 1 bottle of water. I approached the desk at 4:50am if he knew where they were and he hadn't seen any. Period, so many trips later, we left. It was okay but the several little things added up to a bigger annoyance.

So the room was pretty clean (not spotless by any means).. once we got in a room. Bc at check-in @ 10pm, there were no clean rooms available to several customers. We were told we could cancel or wait. We called the hotel next door & they guaranteed there was a room available then & there so I started reserving, went back inside to cancel the original reservation only to be told I could get in a room at that point & couldn’t cancel that one but to cancel the one I was currently in hold with.. which then caused a double booking. The next morning I was able to finally speak to a wonderful representative at the reservation dept & he was able to refund me for the second room I did not use. But this was a huge inconvenience, tied up almost $200 of my money for days, caused my son & I to not get in our reserved room until closer to 1030pm, which we had to be back at the gym by 730am so we were losing precious sleep/chill time, and it caused me to miss the first portion of his first game that morning while attempting to get a refund issued. (Which again I am getting and I’m very thankful for that.) the room itself was t the worst, wasn’t the best. AC worked. Shower was okay. Beds were actually pretty comfortable as well. And the staff in the lobby was nice, especially in the morning when we were leaving.

The place worked out great for the last two nights, and it wasn’t far from the airport!! Staff was GREAT and FUN!! And I think everyone should add Route 66 to their bucket lists!! So many amazing places and sites, and next year is going to be amazing as it’s going to be 100 year’s celebration!! Get your kicks on ROUTE 66!! We sure did!!!

Bathroom was awful

Hotel was clean for the most part and the staff was very friendly. Although, we did have an issue with bathroom in our room. When we arrived the tub was full of water and it was dripping. The drain was extremely slow draining. Also, the water temperature was awful when taking a shower. It would go from hot to cold and cold to hot in seconds. It was terrible to try to take a shower with that issue.
