Chateaux 206 - GULF FRONT Condo - Spectacular Sunsets

Chateaux Condominium’s 1st floor is under construction until mid-March 2026. This is causing noise and vibration throughout the entire building. Discounts for this inconvenience may be available. Please contact us for further information.

Direct Gulf front balcony to enjoy spectacular sunsets! This one-bedroom condo features a California King bed with a ceiling fan for added comfort. There is a TV with cable in the bedroom as well. There is a TV with cable and DVD player in the living room for when you can pull yourself away from the beach. The fully equipped updated kitchen is perfect for preparing memorable meals and fun beach picnics. The updated bathroom has a tub with a shower. The property has an online application operated laundry room on the 1st floor along with a change machine for convenience. The beachside heated pool is surrounded by a paver deck that has both open and covered areas, as you choose your sun exposure. There is an outdoor shower for rinsing off the sand before getting into the pool or coming into the building. There are also two restrooms in the gated pool area. The large built-in gas grill is perfect for the catch of the day watching the surf and sunset. This is a smoke-free condo and no pets are allowed. The condo has FREE secure WiFi and FREE long-distance to US and Canada. Assigned parking space. The putt-putt golf "Smugglers Cove" is just across the street, the kids always have fun feeding the little alligators. There are nearby restaurants within walking distance and many just up and down the beach within 2 miles. Please ask your reservations about FREE weekday bicycle use. (No queen sleeper sofa as of 10/27/21)

Couple getaway

Second time staying at this property. Quiet area! Just a short drive to lots or restaurants. The complex is still recovering from the Hurricane damage but we expected that. The unit was just as advertised. Nice and clean with a perfect view! Easy communication with Plumlee.

Deception?

The property has an elevator that hasn’t worked since the last storm. That was not in the listing and should have been. Rental agency sends an email 48 hours before check in saying you can cancel for a full refund. They know the elevator hasn’t worked in months, not very honest.

Balcony facing the beach

Outstanding balcony view facing the beach! Very nice property. Check in process is old school. An improvement would be to send the door code via the VRBO app rather than getting a packet from a different address (especially for an after hours arrival). It was within walking distance of the Salt Rock Grill, which I highly recommend (we ate their 3 nights in a row).

Pleasant stay

We have stayed here at this complex about a dozen times over the past 20 years. Very nice facility every time we stay. The complex does appear to need some upkeep, I hope it is on a schedule to be completed soon.

Quick getaway.

Excellent location and property. Price has risen over the years for this location in general and eventually might price us out of the area. (Retired now.) Unit was comfortable, furniture was updated. (Power recliner rocked!) A bit short on the kitchen utensils. We bought a frozen pizza the first night to find no pizza pan or cutter. Also, the lighting in the bathroom is very dim and there is no safety mat to stand on in the tub while showering. No drain plug for the tub, so you couldn’t have taken a bath if you wanted too. So the bathroom is the only real criticism of the unit.

First Vacation In 15 Years

This rental was exactly what I needed. I was my first vacation in 15 years and what I needed was peace, comfort and perfect sunsets. I got all of that here! The only (minor) issue was that the dishwasher stopped working, but they had someone out to look at it within the hour of my call. It felt like home and I was sad to leave. I fully intend to book this unit again!

Wonderful condo with amazing view

This property was exactly as described. Comfortable, good size and amazing view. The bed was really comfortable as was the living room furniture which must have been replaced since I saw complaints in previous reviews. Would highly recommend this property! If you love to cook, you’ll want to stock up on basics like spices, food storage bags, sugar for coffee, napkins, even potholders as only the very basic pots,pans, dishes and utensils are provided.

Lovely beach view

We really enjoyed our stay at the Chateaux condo. It is right on the Gulf and the view of the waves was lovely. The unit was clean, well equipped and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. We would happily stay there again.
