Beautiful view, front access to the beautiful beach. Beach perfect for kids as a lot of sand bars. Super clean and well organized room included a stove, microwave and big fridge if you are the kind of guess who likes to cook.
We definitely loved this quaint little place and enjoyed the quiet and peaceful atmosphere. We enjoyed the free amenities like beach chairs and umbrella, hammocks, Adirondack chairs; and of course being right on the beach!! If we were to look for improvements, the water was never really hot, there were no spoons in the room for coffee, and a fire pit would have been a great addition.
Stay was great. There are s few things i didnt ask about, and they did not have them. A room phone, a full length mirror, a tv in the bedroom.
We slept on the couch way to much simply because of no tv..... and EVERYTHING WAS ALL WHITE. probably not good for kids

Liked: Staff & service, room comfort
So take into consideration I am 5’2. My feet reached the END of the bed. Yet when I went into the bathroom I was unable to see myself/use the mirror bc they placed it so high. The blinds on the window had no way to open/close or put them down so good luck sleeping in the day time with the light shining through bc they have no curtains. Only good thing was the location is right on the beach and has a pool.
We have stayed at the Molloy a few times now, our daughter attends Eckerd College. We always feel very welcomed upon arrival, it’s almost a sense of family. We stayed with our daughters for Thanksgiving and we enjoyed our room, the ability to “eat in” the grills are a lovely option for families. After a day at the beach, it’s nice to just shower and grill your dinner! It’s amazing how well they have recovered from the hurricanes. I recommend the Molloy highly.
This darling little place was just the perfect thing for our family. We checked in a little bit early and our room wasn’t quite ready but the staff was so accommodating and let us use the staff bathroom to swim until it was ready. It’s absolutely darling here and had all we needed.
The room we were given to stay in was 3/4 ok and 1/4 like a tear down. I was going to take a picture of the bathroom sink, but it was so bad no one would have believed it. The sink was plugged up from the minute we used it. The bathtub also ran so slow the tub filled with water to the top before I was done (less than 10 minutes) and the warm water ran out after two people took showers.
The beds were wonderful and very comfortable and the tv worked well. There was a microwave and a refrigerator. When we arrived the fridge smelled like fish. It also was warm. We did ask for that to be fixed- and the very nice desk attendant fixed it immediately.
The way they have the check in process seems logical- if you arrive after 9:00pm, they are supposed to give you a code. The doors have key pads(punch in a number). The only problem is that if they send the code to the wrong email, then don’t have any way to reach them after 9:00pm(like a phone or email or text that someone looks at occasionally) you either sleep in your car until they call you back or you get a different hotel room at 2:30am and try to sleep!
The location itself is amazing, which really did make up for a lot of the bad things. I don’t think we would stay there again either way, especially for $450 a night! Of course it’s my fault for paying that due to it being spring break and all, but the shape the bathroom was in was inexcusable, even to say that it was being remodeled- it was literally rotting away.
