Nestled between the Ritz-Carlton and the St. Thomas Yacht Club is Cowpet Bay West! Cowpet Bay West is 5 minutes from Red Hook Ferries to St John. and the BVI's. The town has many restaurants, pubs, supermarket, etc. It is on the exclusive East End of the island. Bella Vista also has free pool and tennis access just yards away. Water sports are available on the beach (kayaks, snorkeling, tours, etc. The terrace is 30' feet wide with a gorgeous, unobstructed view of Cowpet Bay. 1 min. walk to beach and very few stairs. The condo comprises of 2 master bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms, full kitchen. LR, DR, washer/dryer, toiletries, hairdryers, beach towels, chairs, coolers to tour other beaches.
Three smart TV's - one in LR, one in each BR with Netflix, Prime, U-tube, Roku, etc.
The semi private beach offers free chairs at the beach and pool. Trees and Palms provide natural shade; umbrellas at pool. Two restaurants and Pool Bar on the premises. Bella Vista has been beautifully updated and is immaculate! New patio furniture, new bedding, kitchen counter appliances, and new furniture/cushions, beach towels, toys and even a set of new snorkeling gear for 4. In addition, in October '21 the condo was renovated to include new tile floors, sliding doors, freshly painted throughout, new Central A/C, new fridge and hot water heater. Condo is cleaned with antibacterials between visits. Bella Vista has spectacular, unobstructed views of Cowpet Bay. The terrace in right in front of the ocean where you can hear the waves all day and night long. Bella Vista is one minute walk to the beach/pool/ restaurants with very few stairs. One of the best locations, views, and breezes in Cowpet Bay West! Because it is lifted and not directly on the beach there are very few if any "no-see-ums" - just great Caribbean breezes. Bella Vista is located on the road closest to the beach avoiding steep stairs to the higher road which can be challenging for children/seniors.The private gated community is located on the exclusive "East End" of St. Thomas 1.5 miles from the town of Red Hook - Ferry to St. John's and BVI's. The town has a wonderful grocery store (Moe's that delivers!) restaurants, pubs, many activities! Cowpet Bay West is a private gated community with your own reserved parking spot and the entire condo to yourself! The pool, Jacuzzi, and two great restaurants, are all on the premises at your disposal. There are also rental huts fo snorkeling, paddle boards, sunfish, etc. . An Information Binder is provided with all details and list of local restaurants and activities. The condo is well stocked with beach towels, bath towels, sheets, shampoo, conditioner, body wash. Hair dryers provided and make up mirrors. Cowpet West is 11 miles from Airport and 1.5 miles from Red Hook ferries to St. John, etc. . Driver available for tours of the islands and all the other famous beaches; Meagans Bay, Coki, Local taxi's (East End Taxi among others) are inexpensive and very accommodating. The supermarket (Moe's) delivers food and liquor orders. The Ritz-Carlton next door has 4 wonderful restaurants and a world class Spa may be now open to the the public. Our favorite accommodations in USVI

My husband and I have stayed on St John and Water Island previously 5 times. For this trip we had some family coming with us and when we found this condo we honestly thought it might be too good to be true! The condo itself was perfect for us with 2 en suite king bedrooms and the 2nd bedroom has an extra bed for a child. We didn’t even realize how incredible it would be to stay right at Cowpet Bay! The beach is a hidden gem! It’s so quiet and calm. The 2 restaurants on the property are great and the water sports on the beach was a total unexpected bonus! The location is close to Red Hook, Secret Harbor, Sapphire Bay, Coki Beach/Coral World. We loved just being able to walk down to the beach! The view from the balcony was incredible. Melinda was also incredibly kind and generous. She allowed us to check in a little early and check out a little late, which made our travel days much easier. We had an issue with the air conditioning and without even asking she credited us a very generous amount to make up for it. Thank you so much, Melinda! We hope to come back!

Perfect Location; Great Condo View

We absolutely loved our stay at Bella Vista! Perfect location is not an exaggeration. It had it all. Both the beautiful pool and relatively private beach were a two minute walk from the condo and conveniently right beside each other. In addition to two restaurants right there on the beach, the town of Red Hook is a two minute drive and had everything you’d want for a beach vacation- many restaurants, ice cream shops, and shopping. You do NEED to have a rental vehicle. We had an incredible vacation at this paradise!!

Relaxing Winter Getaway

Our family had a an incredible vacation at Cowpet Bay West. The condominium had an amazing view, was CLEAN and the location was spectacular. The condominium was equipped with everything you needed for the beach if you wanted to go offsite. This condominium is steps from a beach and two restaurants. We have no complaints.

Our stay at this Cowpet Bay West Beach Condo was nothing short of amazing! This 2-bedroom, 2-bath condo provided everything we could have possibly asked for during our Caribbean getaway. The view from the balcony was breathtaking, with stunning sights of sailboats gently floating on the turquoise waters – the perfect backdrop to every morning coffee and evening sunset. The condo was spotless and stocked with every amenity imaginable. From the fully stocked kitchen to the comfortable furnishings, everything was designed with convenience and relaxation in mind. We truly felt like it was our home away from home. The beds and mattresses were especially fantastic, which is a huge plus for us as senior citizens. Comfortable beds are extremely important, and these provided the perfect support for our backs. We slept like babies every night! The host’s communication was outstanding—quick, helpful, and attentive to every detail. It made us feel well taken care of throughout our stay. She was responsive, helpful, and ensured that all our needs were met promptly. It gave us peace of mind, knowing that we were in such capable hands. While no place is completely perfect, we understood that being beachfront in the Caribbean comes with its own set of challenges. Minor maintenance issues are part of life here, but they were very manageable and didn’t detract from our enjoyment. Tired Condo Good Location

We were so disappointed by our stay here and felt misled by other reviewers. Yes, the location is good, just minutes to Red Hook by car/taxi, on Cowpet Bay (although no beach directly in front of condo) and next door to the Elysian Hotel & Ritz Carlton (both walkable), but the condo suffers from a lack of attention and quality control. We arrived an hour past check-in to find the cleaners still there and were greeted by a floor rug in entry that was torn and tattered, so first impressions already bad. Here's an idea of what we found in the condo: Gross moldy shower curtain in primary shower, multiple doors that will not close or stay closed, and the two back sliders DO NOT LOCK, a chair on the patio that literally has a sign on it to NOT sit in it, a non-functional fan in the hall bath, missing handle from dresser in primary, bedskirt in primary full of dust balls, multiple burned out light bulbs etc. It's obvious the host hasn't visited here in ages. We expect for this rate to have a clean, comfortable and fully functional unit, but did not. And while not in the host's control, it didn't help that 4 out of our 8 days the condo below was jack hammering out the patio tile, which caused a horrendous noise. Would never stay here again and cannot recommend.

Great Place to Stay In St. Thomas!!

My family stayed here for 8 nights. The place was ideal with the deck overlooking the water being the highlight. One of the best locations in Cowpet Bay with an ocean breeze and close to the beach. A few minor issues that took a bit from the experience but overall would highly recommend this condo and Cowpet Bay West in general!

Good Location Next to Red Hook

We were a group of 2 couples that stayed here for a week. Property was in a nice location- close to red hook and other great beaches. We took our car to a different beach every day. We only hung out by the onsite pool for a 1/2 of an afternoon. Pool is fine, but doesn't overlook the ocean directly. Has a small pool bar that's open until 6:00 or so every night. You NEED to rent a car! You will miss 95% of what the island has to offer if you don't. Or you'll spend a ridiculous amount in cab fare. We took cabs to red hook at night so we could have a couple drinks, and paid $80/night (round trip) for 4 of us. Took a cab once to Margarittaville and it was $30/person round trip. Back to the condo-- it had 2 nice sized bedrooms. Lots of extra blankets, towels, and beach towels. Lots of equipment to use (beach chairs, snorkel equipment, fins, coolers, balls, noodles). I'd suggest checking out what has been left behind in the condo before getting all your supplies. There was a TON of bug spray and sunscreen left behind, detergent, beer, water. It's worth a look. Negative for us-- there were a ton of mosquitos in the condo and specifically in the bathrooms. We didn't contact the property manager- I'm assuming this is a common issue throughout the island in general. Between those in the condo and sand flea's we got SO SO many bug bites on this trip. Patio overlooking the bay was great. We played cards at the table every night. Overall certainly not luxury, but was nice.

We had a wonderful time. Melinda provides an encyclopedia of information for her unit as well as what to do on the island. She provided so many tips on what to expect in various situations, there were no surprises. The location is perfect and I thought Cowpet Bay Beach was only second to Magen’s Bay.

Amazing property!

What a gorgeous property! The amenities were perfect for the family. We loved sipping coffee on the porch and the view was beautiful. There were great restaurants and beaches nearby and the ferry to St. John’s just down the road. We would love to stay again.

Great getaway

Perfect location for all things. Condo was great! Beach was private. Red Hook was close for food and fun and the ferry to St. John was so easy. Highly recommend staying here.

A slice of paradise

The views from this condo could not be more calming and beautiful. The location is perfect for excellent dining choices and the deck was an ideal place to just sit and look at the scenery. We booked this trip to help reduce work-related stress and it did the trick! Peace and quiet, sun, mild breezes and clear turquoise water-it has it all.
