We loved having such quick access to the beach. Sapphire Beach is a good snorkeling beach, so we took advantage of that every day. The bars and restaurants located right there were also very good! This was a great location, on a great beach with great amenities close-by. Plus it was just a 4-minute drive into Red Hook where there are countless restaurants and bars. We'll definitely return.

John was an excellent and friendly host of his condominium,reaching out to us before we even made our trip, and giving us pointers on how to make the most of our short stay. His condo is fabulous: spacious layout, with great natural lighting, magnificent view, three minute walk to the beach and its amenities. He was also immediately reachable for the rare question that arose during our stay.

The location is amazing, the condo was super clean and very well appointed. We left the island more refreshed than when we arrived, and staying here added to that. The space is so workable, and the kitchen has everything one needs to cook. I would absolutely rent this unit again. Less than a two minute walk to the bar and beach, but still so much quieter than around the corner. The hosts are also great. Great communication and very warm! Thank you for providing such a great rental space!

Great stay, would definitely chose this property again

Pictures are an accurate version of the unit. Clean, well maintained. John, the hosr, was great! We were a family of 4, 2 adults used the master bedroom and 2 teenage daughters used the Murphy bed. It worked out perfect. Also, there are 2 full bathrooms, so we didnt need to share a bathroom with the kids. The unit is a 100 yard walk to sapphire beach.

Perfect Location

It is not often that the photos match the location. In this rental they exceeded the photo. The condo was clean and well stocked . The location was perfect for our two week stay as we had easy access to the beach, taxis and food options. We enjoyed the island and made various day and over night trips and it was awesome to have our very comfortable home spot. The owners are lovely and want to ensure your stay is comfortable and that you have everything you need . We hope to be return renters. Thank you so much for allowing us to share your beautiful home

Beautiful Unit and View

The unit was exactly as described and so much room. Tastefully decorated and the view was amazing. Really like the 2 full baths for getting ready. Kitchen was well stocked.The king size bed was very comfy. Tons of bath towels and beach towels. Nice portable beach chairs that we used when we went to Lindquist Beach. The chair service at Sapphire Beach was great and free (we did tip). Location is close to Red Hook. We liked the keypad style lock so we never had to worry about carrying a key. The host was super to work with and if we ever return to St. Thomas, we would stay here again.

The stay was nice, great location & nice condo. But - when we "checked in" we used the code given us, got in, put out things away then went for a walk. When we returned the code did not work. Called the only contact number given us and it went straight to voice mail. After 15 minutes of no return call googled "Vrbo phone" and called the booking office. They got us a new code from the owner. We used it to get in the tested it again to be sure it worked but it did not work upon multiple test. Luckly for us there was a bottom lock with a key and the key was in the condo so we only used the key lock for the remainder of the stay. The next day the owner finally called with the "correct code", were told that we had been given an incorrect code. New code worked but tend tested again it did not work so only used key lock for the remainder of the trip. Tested that code they day we left and it worked. Don't know what would have happened if the second code did not get us in and if there was not a keyed lock. There needs to be a property manger on site with an over ride key if needed. Did not appear there was one

Perfection

This is our second year staying in Crystal Cove. The location is perfect. Everything we needed was just a short drive away. We swam with sea turtles every day and woke up to amazing sunrises. The grounds are beautiful kept and the housekeeper was very friendly. We appreciated the beach wagon, beach chairs and beach towels provided. We rented two condos and had a party of 8. Everyone had a wonderful time and we will be returning.

Great stay!

Just had an amazing stay at this property. All amenities you could possibly need were available and the location is prime. The beach is at your front door, bar/restaurant next door, and taxis easily accessible if you want to leave the property. Would definitely stay again!

60 Year Anniversary!

We enjoyed our stay at this condo. The owners supplied everything we needed to go to the beach. Beach chairs, towels even a beach wagon to haul everything in. We loved our stay. It was clean and very comfortable.

Great location for adults, nice condo.

Nice condo that is very close to the beach. The area it is located in is flat unlike most of St. Thomas. There is a beach bar beside the condo complex as well as some restaurants. The water is clear, the beach is cleaned daily and the blue chairs are free when you stay at Crystal Cove. Plenty of wildlife to see, iguanas, chickens, ducks, etc. I received an incorrect gate code and saved that one. I got to the site and it didn't work, but someone let us through and then I saw the correct gate code inside the condo. Our phones didn't work in St. Thomas so I couldn't check my email or call anyone. Apparently I was sent two gates codes in the same email from VRBO, and had wrote down the one that didn't work. The second issue we had was hot water. We had to take multiple cold showers because the water heater wouldn't kick on. You could hear it trying to ignite, but it didn't always work. We sometimes got it to work by turning on and off the shower or faucet and letting it run for a while. It took multiple times, when it worked. I didn't report it because I didn't have phone service. Nice TV in living area, but not in the bedroom. Wifi available in living area, but not in bedroom. Overall a nice place and I would stay again.

Great location. Beautiful beach. Unfortunately, there was no hot water and the phone number for the property owner went unanswered. The office was not able to help or reach the owner. Reaching out through VRBO did elicit an immediate response and the owner explained that the phone number listed several times on the VRBO page was no longer the correct number. The property owner stated the hot water issue was an easy fix, but did not offer to have anyone come over and stated he would be next "guest" at the property. The TVs did not work and turning on the shower head in en suite bathroom was not intuitive.

Third visit to the island

We decided to rent the condo this trip and it was amazing. The condo is 5 minites from Red Hook and the ferry parking garage. We cooked dinner and breakfast several times and just watched the waves from the dining area. Would stay here again on next trip to island.

Wonderful VRBO!!

We had a fantastic time in St Thomas, and The Purple Lotus was the perfect place for us! There were three in our group, (me, my husband and our teenager). The condo has been renovated beautifully, and the description and photos online are completely accurate. The kitchen was completely stocked with everything you could possibly need. There are coolers, all the beach supplies, plenty of towels, everything you need! The location is the best part! Sapphire Beach is gorgeous. Just a short, maybe three minute walk, to the beach, a pizza shop, coffee/breakfast cafe, burger bar, and rooftop fine dining. There’s live music at the bar on Sunday evenings, and at least one other night during the week. A few minutes from that, and you’re at the marina, with access to charter boats and sail boats, plus another restaurant/bar nearby. Red Hook is a five minute drive away, with plenty of more restaurants, grocery, pharmacy, another marina, and the ferry to St. John. Also, communication with travel and John was very good. We communicated through the app, and they were quick to respond every time, within a few minutes. We had a few glitches, as is very coming with any Caribbean trip, and Rachel or John were able to help very quickly. This was our third trip to STT, and we love staying at Sapphire Beach! We would definitely book again!

Memorable spot

The Purple Lotus was exactly as described, and our vacation was incredible. The unit is located within a short walk of the crystal clear beach with incredible views. We started each day with coffee on the beach and spent a few days floating and snorkeling there. We rented a car, so we explored St. Thomas. We went shopping, and swimming at Megan’s Bay, water island, and St. John. Taking the car ferry to St. John is super easy. Once there you can explore the most beautiful beaches. We went to Trunk Bay, Cinnamon, and Maho Beach. I recommend getting to the ferry at least a half hour prior to departure. Back to Purple Lotus...it had noodles, coolers, beach towels and chairs, kitchen supplies, and everything we needed. The unit is connected to an area that has a bar, restaurant, breakfast spot, and store (souvenirs and clothes) so you can easily stay there without a car. With a car, you are close to the ferry and red hook. Everything else is 20ish min away. The owners are kind and responsive. They really strive for their guests to have a great vacation. We had a small issue in the beginning and it was fixed immediately. We would love to return to St. Thomas and stay here again!

Amazing location

The property was amazing. Literally steps to the beach and beach restaurants. Our host reached out as soon as we checked in to make sure we were good. I would definitely recommend this property to anyone looking to stay in St. Thomas.
