White lotus is on 25 acres filled with things to see and do. Please feel free to explore!
Walking around the property is how most people get around and driving is the best way to explore outside the White lotus.
I definitely recommend checking out all the amenities and spaces on the property. Hiking in the blue ridge mountains seems to be the most popular thing to do outside the property. Check out the information package we send out through airbnb for other ideas.
The property is very unique. It is off of a dirt road and I would suggest initially getting there while there is daylight. There are multiple steps to this room (located in the Castle building of the property), therefore it is not suitable for guests with mobility issues. The dipping pool was not filled at the time of our stay. Overall, the room was clean and comfortable. My only complaint is the shower temperature and pressure were a bit difficult to regulate but it seems the tub is better suited for a bath. The property is about an hour from Shenandoah National Park and 2 hours from Washington DC. It is a spa and yoga retreat and seems better suited for adult travelers. We didn't take advantage of the multiple amenities on the property due to our other planned activities, but the spa and retreat can be a getaway on its own.
upon arrival to the property, there was no clear signage on how we could get to our room. We were also given no instructions regarding check-in, including the door code. The only reason we were able to get into our room was because we called the phone number listed on our initial reservation. Additionally, upon entering the room, we noticed that there were large amounts of dust clumps everywhere. When we tried to close the curtain, it hit the fan, causing a rainfall of dust. There was also very minimal lighting in the bathroom. The showerhead was located in a position where no matter how you adjusted the water pressure, water would hit the wall, pass the edge of the bathtub. Overall, the experience was not very great. It was very poor quality and poorly kept up. To be honest, I donât believe that the room was even cleaned prior to arrival based on the condition that we had it in. we will definitely not be staying here again ever and will not be recommending this place to anyone who wants to visit Shenandoah national park.
