I’ve stayed at this property a few times now and in different types of rooms, and I absolutely love it! The location is unbeatable: just minutes from town, great restaurants, and the river. Every room has beautiful mountain views, and the entire place is both family- and dog-friendly, which is a huge plus. The rooms are well-equipped, and the kitchens have everything you might need. The front desk and all the staff are incredibly kind and helpful. (They made a beautiful B-day Surprise for my Auntie!) I’d definitely recommend it—and I can’t wait to come back!

The stay was comfortable at Legacy. The staff was kind and accommodating. It was a slower weekend, so they were able to help us with early check in. The room was nice with plenty of space. The bed was comfortable and it was quiet. We ended up leaving our pillows there and they had collected them, placed them in a bag and we were able to pick them up later! Very kind staff.

Well priced option in an overpriced town.

This was a well priced and conveniently located hotel. Slightly dated ski resort feel, but that gave it some rustic charm. Staff happily accommodated request for later check-out. Would recommend as extremely well priced (at least in April) in an otherwise overpriced town.

The property was close to downtown and the ski resort. The hotel shuttle was great to get to and from the ski resort during the day and would pick up on request at night.

Breakfast- bagels, apples. Minimal variety and lacking in quantity. Pool and hot tubs- very clean; no heat on Monday morning after being cleaned ( communication would have been nice beforehand) Shuttle- insufficient staff. Long waits. Unit upkeep- dated, run down carpeting and furniture. Mattresses were good. Manager was respectful and gave resort fee refund. Doesn’t live up to marketing…

One of my worst stay. Although the staff was very helpful, 1. Property charges additional $15 per person for amenities. This came as complete surprise. 2. Dirty room. Completely unsanitary conditions, including very dirty and stained carpet. 3. No power outlet anywhere near the microwave so had to make coffee at the bathroom sink 4. Toilet does not flush well

This property is not fancy! It is really old! But it was clean, had a decent common area, pool and hot tub area. Location is great and the shuttle was super helpful. Steamboat is expensive and this place is affordable, so Keep that in mind when booking, you are getting very basic accommodations with thin walls and a major need of renovation. Staff was nice and having a fridge and microwave and plates and silverware in the room allowed us to have smaller meals without going out. Location is also good. 8 min from base of the mountain and 5 min from downtown. We are a family of 4 with two kids ages 10/12 and a couple of nights there was fine for us for.

Carbon Monoxide Concern

When we arrived we were given a room on the 1st floor. It smelled moldy in the hallways and was quite dirty. When we entered the room it was hot and stuffy and we heard a constant beeping sound. It was the carbon monoxide detector alarming. We immediately opened a window and went to the front desk to let them know we wanted another room. It took them over 2 1/2 hours to get us another room as they said they were booked. We were tired and hungry from our drive and they did nothing to expidite placing us in another room. The front desk kept checking people in while we waited. Finally she stopped because they ran out of room keys!!! Legacy Resorts has mismanaged this property. Would not recommend.
