If you are looking for a unique housing experience I strongly recommend a stay at this boathouse in Kentmoor Marina. The houseboat is as described with one bedroom having a double bed and the second a single fold out bed. The multiple purpose great room contains a double sofa sleeper that was comfortable. The kitchen is equipped with all the amenities one would need to include a dishwasher. Spent 5 days onboard enjoying Kent Island and Annapolis. You can bike, golf, fish walk or run the trails. The restaurants offered exceptionally fresh fish and delicious crab oe crab cakes. Itâs perfect for a couple to unwind from life in the city.
Quite charming and cute. 25gal hot water had me worried with 5 people, but it worked out fine. Really cute space and rooftop deck was great for coffee and a good book.
Staying at sea without ever leaving the marina. This special getaway had everything we needed for the weekend and afforded us an unexpectedly relaxing stay. Julia's Arc is surprisingly spacious and cozy and was a pleasant place for us to hang out in for our weekend on Kent Island. Looking forward to a future stay when we're in the area.
Our weekend stay at Juliaâs Arc was truly the perfect weekend!!! The location is perfect and the boat is so clean, cozy, beautifully decorated, and generously stocked. We felt so calm and happy during our whole stay. The top deck is a perfect spot to have a cup of coffee or watch the sunset. Plus, the host, Julia was so accommodating and sweet. We really hope to go back soon!
We loved our stay. It was particularly nice to get away from all the "hustle and bustle" of the Sailboat Show. The unit was well-equipped and comfortable. We loved the upper deck! In fact, we had morning coffee, on day, and watched 2 eagles in a nearby tree.
Julia was so nice and I absolutely loved my time on her house boat. I was sad to leave! It was so quiet and comfy and relaxing and the Kentmorr is so close that you could walk right over anytime you wanted. Cant wait to return!
We loved our stay at Juliaâs Arc! The houseboat was absolutely lovely - even better than the pictures showed. Julia was communicative and thoughtful throughout - sheâs a great host!
The location is nice - itâs in a marina, so itâs safe if there is bad weather. Thereâs a beach there and a restaurant in the marina.
Be warned though - everything in the area closes early. We tried to get dinner around 9pm and absolutely nothing was open (we wound up ordering pizza which was very good).
Annapolis is a short drive away and itâs always a great visit, especially if youâre a sailor like me.
If youâre looking for something a little different for a vacation stay, consider Juliaâs Arc. Weâre glad we did!!
Host very easy to work with and what ended up to be a gifted stay for a couple rather than a girls weekend away was much appreciated. Would recommend this property and would stay there again.
My husband and I had a wonderful time clebrating the 4th with friends at Julia's Arc houseboat. The beach at the Marina was a nice place to have a cookout and watch fireworks, up and down the entire Chesapeake shorelines. Julia had everything there we needed for grilling on the beach.
The houseboat was well appointed, clean and comfortable. Well equipped kitchen, even supplying condiments, some spices and paper products like foil, plastic wrap, etc. True to everything listed online. Only drawback: It says it sleeps 6, with 2 bedrooms, however; the twin futon room is better suited to sleep 2 children. We ended up using the sleeper sofa in the main living area. While it was comfortable, and served the purpose; we would have preferred having another usable bedroom for adults.
Overall, it was a perfect getaway for 4. Celebrating our freedom to do things like this. Julia was very accommodating and available for questions. Would recommend.
Beautiful houseboat to stay in for a week and explore the Eastern side of Maryland. The houseboat is gorgeous inside and has many private areas if you just want to get away from the group. Highly recommended and look forward to renting it again.
