The Modern Farmhouse in Stowe sits atop ~11 acres of finely manicured mountain landscaping and enjoys panoramic mountain views. Both completely private and at the center of everything, the Modern Farmhouse is located at the end of a long private drive just off of Mountain Road. As you make your way up towards the house, the adjacent Vermont barn-style garage provides both rustic charm and covered parking for three automobiles.

Inside, enjoy all the comforts of home paired with the latest in modern conveniences-- a fully equipped kitchen including stainless steel appliances, gas range and has an in-counter downdraft for the cooktop, Nest thermostat, gas fireplace and heated tile floors. Kick back and take a relaxing bath in the jacuzzi tub while soaking in the spectacular mountain view or settle into the den with a selection of books and games for your entertainment. The game room and lounge area is equipped with a 60 inch Samsung 4KTV with Apple TV, pool table, foosball table, and sectional sofa making it the ultimate hang out spot. There is central air AC available in the summer months!

Outside, all ~11 acres are yours to explore- including granite paths, stone walls, sculptures, waterfalls, two ponds and tea house. Located just a short drive to Stowe Mountain Lodge and 0.8 miles from the shops and restaurants on Mountain Road, the Modern Farmhouse offers everything you could want for a peaceful family vacation or adventure-filled mountain getaway!

Wonderful stay!

This is a beautiful home in a beautiful location! We enjoyed the fall foliage from this lovely farmhouse. The primary bedroom is on the first floor so that’s nice if you are older. The kitchen is large and has a large island. The living area and dining area have large windows looking out over the property and the mountains in the distance. Highly recommend!

An eclipsing experience

Our stay at the lovely house in Stowe was the perfect location. The house is beautiful and very comfortable. The yard and grounds are perfect for sitting outside to enjoy the firepit and a rare total solar eclipse. The house is up from the road just enough for a privacy with a sweeping view of the open fields and the mountains across the valley. We had a spectacular time.

perfect stay in Vermont paradise

Everything about our stay was wonderful. Our group included two children and five adults. With the pull-out couch, we had all the room we needed. The property is magical, and a nature-lover's dream. The views are absolutely stunning, and the rambling property is a delight to explore. The house is beautiful and very well appointed, with everything we needed. The property manager is reachable and responsive. We will be back!

Unbelievable getaway in Stowe, VT

I agree with the other reviewers: the photos don't begin to do justice to this property. It appeared wonderful in the listing, but was even better in real life. What a wonderful house and property. Every amenity we could possibly need was already taken care of, and the property managers were very responsive and eager to help. Thank you so much for sharing this wonderful home. If we're ever fortunate enough to be back in Vermont, I know where we'll be staying!

Fantastic home and welcoming host

Host was on top of communication and kept me up to date. The house was fantastic and exactly what we needed. I didn't see it in the description but there is a grill on the back patio. We were all very excited and happy with the house and it's a great location from Stowe and nearby breweries. Strongly recommend.

This house was such a great place to stay. Our two families with 5 kids between the 2 had plenty of room. The kids loved staying in the basement and playing in the snow on the hill. The location was perfect for a short trip to the mountain or dining as well.

Convenient location central to both Stowe Resort and town but on a beautiful property with great views. Property manager was very responsive and helpful. They even arranged for shipping for our kids stuffed animal they left behind.

Great Holiday week

Great house. Three couples stayed for a week and would definitely return. No downside to this house. Master bedroom was great, only surpassed by the view. Short drivable distance to skiing, Main Street and other locally owned restaurants.
