Overall, mostly great things to say about this property, especially the value for the money, the size, and the proximity to multiple towns and ski areas. The hot tub was actually hot and very delightful. I love that they had extra towels for hot tub users. Iâll highlight a few unexpected downsides. We did find a dead bird in the fireplace and mouse poop in the basement bathroom, which made sense considering there were sticky mouse trap pads all over the basement. We also booked this place because someone in our party is severely allergic to dogs. The listing indicates that it is not pet-friendly, therefore we believed it to be pet-free. We were very surprised to see dog related items at the home, which did cause allergies. Just something to be aware of if you have allergies. Secondly, for full transparency, there was a child in our group who did draw on a few spots on the wall. We were absolutely willing to pay to fix this. The issue arose with the property manager/ coordinator, Elaine, trying to get us to agree to pay for the damages outside of the VRBO platform. Communication with her was very difficult and we had to push for her to provide a repair quote within the VRBO timeline. She was very condescending while we were attempting to make things right. It turns out Elaine isnât even the property manager, and she is more of a guest experience coordinator. In brief, this may not be the most child-friendly property, even though it says that they allow children.
