Clearly Strahan is a very beautiful location located on the rugged West Coast of Tasmania. A great variety of attractions within relatively close proximity. The staff associated with Strahan Village were all very helpful and professional in their interactions during our stay. The only real disappointment for us was our accommodation. We booked into the Strahan Village Cottages, during check-in we were directed to the group of cottages but upon arrival there were three doors within one of the cottage buildings, each with a different named cottage on the each door. On opening the Kelly Cottage door we entered what can only be described as a motel style room of one living and combined sleeping area plus a seperate ensuite, hardly a cottage. I did discuss our disappointment with the accommodation at reception on departure and suggested Management should review the advertisement to ensure it accurately reflects reality.

The room was dirty and dark. The noise from neighbouring guests was very loud. The wine glasses in the room were dirty and there weren't sufficient towels. Very disppointing. We dined at the restaurant and the food was average at best with blow flies throughout the restaurant - OVERPRICED FOR THE QUALITY.

Lovely location but room average
The town is beautiful and the hotel appears to own much of the property. The room itself was awkward and needs updating but it was clean. The balcony was tiny but had a lovely view. There is no ac or screens on the windows to leave open. Overall it was fine for a night or two.

The room that we stayed in was one of the highest in the village and the view of the bay and surrounding headland was spectacular. Everyone both staff and guests were so friendly which surely means that everyone there was happy to be there. It is so conveniently located and everything is just there at the end of the boardwalk. We had a great holiday. Thankyou to all the staff.
