Essential amenities, as well as transportation, are just a stone\'s throw from the first-floor apartment, allowing guests to enjoy a completely carefree vacation without depending on their cars.

Inside, the 2-bedroom apartment provides peaceful and flexible accommodation for up 5 guests. The living room has a sofa bed and a Smart TV. The vacation rental is located in downtown Stresa, from where several supermarkets and restaurants as well as the beautiful Stresa pier are just a stone’s throw away. Also close by is the Stresa ferry terminal, the gorgeous Villa Pallavicino with gardens belonging to the 1800s, and a hiking area in nature. From the ferry terminal, guests can easily reach the famous Borromean Islands and soak up their fantastical beauty made of Roman baths, Villa Emden and small but spectacular beaches.

For day trips, the towns of Lesa and Arona are just a 15-minute drive from this holiday rental in Stresa, but if you want to try your hand at golf or explore the Alpine Botanical Gardens, then they are also just 15 minutes away. The nearest international airport is Milan Malpensa, approximately a 1-hour drive away. Coming by train? The Stresa train terminal is just a 10-minute walk from the holiday apartment. Great location but too hot!

The check in information was sent in good time and was accurate. We communicated with Rocco via whatsapp and he was polite, helpful and answered all our questions however random (where to watch the football etc)! The apartment is on the first floor very close to the centre of stresa so is very convenient for shopping and restaurants etc. It has lots of space. Our main issue was that we were there in a heatwave and the heat was inescapable. There was one fan so we bought a second for the other bedroom. I really wished for air conditioning! Stresa itself is very beautiful but we didnt find loads to do as a family. We didnt hire a car, so this might have helped find more activities. We swam in the lake and visited the islands and palaces nearby but could have done with some other family friendly activities so im not sure I would recommend Stresa as a place go go with children (8 and 11) for this reason.
