The Loch House is brand new cottage in awe-inspiring north west Skye. Macleods Tables are close, the Cuillin too. Talisker Distillery is just across the water and there are castles, lighthouses and geological phenomena aplenty!. All on the Ground Floor:

Kitchen: Electric Oven, Electric Hob, Microwave, Fridge, Freezer, Wine Cooler, Dishwasher, Coffee Machine, Patio Doors Leading To To Garden

Initial fuel for multi-fuel burner included. Welcome pack.. Garden with sitting-out-area and garden furniture. Private parking for 3 cars. No smoking. Please note: There is an unfenced loch at the bottom of the garden, 100 yards away.. Locations donât get much better than this! The Loch House is on the wild west coast of Skye, and as the name suggests, beside the loch.
The accommodation has been finished to an excellent standard, making the most of the great outdoors with lots of windows to see the amazing views. All on one level, it is perfect for a family or a group of friends. The living/dining room is a highlight with a wood burning stove, Smart TV and sliding doors out to the incredible location.
Staying at The Loch House youâre literally a stoneâs throw away from the water, so pack the fishing rod and if you like kayaking, bring that too. Youâll love being at The Loch House, a week wonât be long enough. You can explore the coastal surrounds till your heartâs content, but whatâs really great about The Loch House, beyond the shoreside situation, is the location on the island.
You are only a few minutesâ drive from Dunvegan with its castle and gardens, and a little further on Coral Beach, Point Neist Lighthouse, Macleods Tables and Macleods Maidens. A little further from The Loch House going south you have the Talisker Distillery (which you could easily paddle across the loch to), Fairy Pools and alpine Cuillin Hills. Thereâs so much to do on top of this, with Waternish, Trotternish and the south of the island awaiting further exploration. Maybe a week isnât enough time? !
A fantastic cottage on the ocean with stunning west views
Very well appointed

Accurate directions and instructions
Great location for hiking and site seeing
Very roomy for 6 adults
So impressed
Amazing getaway on the Isle of Skye - the photos in the listing do not do the property justice, the location on Loch Caroy has to be one of the best on the island. We will definitely make this our first choice location on our next visit to Skye.
Very nice location, Very nice property, once you've found it.
Definitely the nicest place we have stayed on Skye. A modern property that tends to be quite warm, easily fixed by opening the beach facing doors. You get hand soap, but remember to being your own toiletries. Fully fitted kitchen and a main living room that's wonderful. A large TV, Internet and Alexa device (Don't ask it about the local weather or anything like that as it is registered in England, Morpeth to be precise!). My only issue with the living room was how the table had been placed across the patio sliding door. So you have this wonderful beach view, that is obscured by a table.
One other thing was annoying. The owner produced a very detailed welcome pack and in that he instructed on how to find the property, but even with that, we got lost on first accessing the cottage. The entrance to the property is via another property, I assume owned by others. So it doesn't look like the property advertised and so you carry on past. To get to the actual property you have to turn into this owner's "driveway" and then turn immediately right, towards what looks like a random gate. The road down to the cottage has been freshly graveled and it snakes round and down to reveal the cottage. This whole process could be resolved by using two signs. One at the gate to the road facing property, the other on the "random gate", advertising 4 Caroy Bay Cottage.
That would let guests know that they were in the right place!
However, I would stay here again without a second thought!
