My suggestion to Best Western is to change your toilets to "High Boy." Older people find it much easier to use a toilet that is easier to sit down on when it is higher. The toilet we had was very difficult to sit on because it was much lower than the toilet we have in our home.

Issues during stay

First off I want to say that the staff was very friendly. They took care off all issues promptly. There were a few unpleasant issues which made our stay feel like we were staying at a low budget, run down motel, but at $225 per night, we expected cleaner and better. When we first arrived we had stains on one of our beds. We called the front desk and they promptly came with new bedsheets. It wasn't a subtle stain. It was very apparent that the person who made the bed wasnt paying attention or didn't care. There were a few smaller issues like the door stopper being broken which didnt bother us that there was a hole in the wall where the door handle hit. No big deal there. The main issue, which is the reason for the review, is the air conditioning unit was extremely loud. It sounded like a rock tumbler. It woke me and my kids up throughout the night. I did turn it off for periods of time, but couldn't leave it off all night due to the outside temperature. The pool and breakfast were nice and the staff was great.

Broken drawer handle, water wouldn’t go down in the bathtub. A lot of Mexican or whatever nationality that must live there, men hanging around the entrances to go I. Smoking and drinking, broken beer bottles and grilling there too. I am sure they are working somewhere but makes it unappealing with all that going on.

Girls weekend

For the most part is was relatively clean for the general over look of the room. We did uncover a few leftover snacks behine the cabinet and under the bed skirt... hopefully just from the last guest but who knows. No outdoor seating area. I did love the mini fridge because the freezer actually kept my cold pack frozen!

First impressions are everything. The gentleman that checked us in was very friendly. I known the hotel was undergoing remodeling so it’s possible the messy counter behind the front desk may have been due to the remodel. It looked very cluttered and unorganized with paperwork piled up everywhere. When I first saw that I was concerned with how our room would look. Fortunately our room was very clean.

Our room has a soak-in tub for extra money and I like it. Very friendly front desk. However, the breakfast was disappointing because the lady put up all the chairs on the tables in the dining room. Who does that in a hotel dining room? When I walked in, I felt unwelcomed. The scrambled eggs were gone when we walked in. It was only 8 a.m. When asked why there was not enough egg by another customer, the lady said she could not keep up with it because everyone was eating so much egg. That was rude to he customers since breakfast was included. There were decent customers eating breakfast there that day. The lady was unprofessional and insensitive for her remarks. I called the front desk and talked with Bill. Bill agreed with me as he mentioned that he did not like the chairs on the tables either. We did not have breakfast the next morning and just left. We did not want our trip to be ruined. There was a very good Mexican restaurant nearby and I was very happy with my food.

Great staff who made it an easy check in. We got a room with a jacuzzi. There seemed to be wax spilt in the jacuzzi which wasn’t visible until we started filling it with hot water. We decided not to tell them right away because it wasn’t a big deal to us. We told them in the morning and they seemed apologetic. I believe if we told them earlier they would have tried to fix it. Amazing staff. I would recommend here if you are looking for a nice calm spot with a nice pool.
