Quiet and isolated. Not near anything. In middle of Door Peninsula. Very limited breakfast. Rooms need updating.

Quiet place on the golf course, but near to all that Door county has to offer. Good value for the price too.

This place is a real gem. Managed to book two days before arrival at my location and it did a great job servicing our needs.

It was a lovely setting, very peaceful, super nice people. We had a suite that was immaculate, literally steps from gold course, great view with two patio areas. The whirlpool tub was fantastic! Yes, it is an older hotel but the owner has done a wonderful job with it. I am from the suburbs of Chicago and a room such as ours on a Saturday night would be 300.! Great value, lots of room and a little bar and restaurant with the best cheese curds EVER!! We will definitely stay again.

Nice quiet hotel. Big clean room.

Pros: Everything. Love the Golf course and the discounted green fees for guests.
Cons: The other entrances far away from the main lobby should probably have a lock for guest safety. Anyone can just go through there.
Location: Very nice quiet location. Seems remote, but actually, the back roads will lead you quickly to econofoods and walmart and even downtown Sturgeon Bay.
Perfect for golfers. Golf course was well maintained and challenging. The room was big and clean. Staff is very helpful. Lori, the cleaning lady was so nice and so are the people at the front desk who also multi-tasked at the golf club house.

Very Accommodating Above and Beyond Service

Pros: I really liked the above and beyond service in getting a room that worked for our situation. The bed, bedding and pillows were very comfortable.
Cons: Put a microwave in the room. Include eggs & meat with breakfast to cater to diabetics and gluten free diets. Need more handicapped accessible rooms.
Location: It is located on a golf course and is a quiet peaceful location on the southern end of Door County known for its Cherries. Unique eating and shopping.
We booked this hotel online; it indicated it was wheelchair accessible. The room was for my husband, my sister and me. So we requested a room with 2 queen beds. My husband is wheelchair bound and needs a lift to get him in and out of the wheelchair, in and out of bed, and on and off the toilet. When we were showed our room we discovered the lift would not go under the bed nor would it fit into the bathroom. The owner found a room that had a bed that would allow the lift to get under the bed and get into the bathroom. It was also equipped with handicap accessories in the bathroom but the room only had one bed. The owner offered to book us at another hotel or we could use both rooms, one for my husband and me and the other for my sister, at no extra charge. We were more than happy with that arrangement. The hotel had just been renovated with new carpets, pictures, fixtures, heating/cooling units, freshly painted walls. It was very clean and smelled fresh. We had a view of the golf course. The room had a patio door with a small deck with a table and chairs. It was so peaceful and quiet.

Running the lodge into the ground.

I'd say nothing has changed except the bedsheets, tv, and shower head since 1991. The room was musty, we had a view of an abandoned moldy pool, the sink faucet didn't work, and there was no one staffing the desk to tell. They had a doorbell, but no one was ever around to answer it. This hotel is in desperate need of a complete gutting and remodel, or should just be shut down. Very disappointing.

disappointed stay

Location: Location was too far out of town for our liking but definitely quiet surroundings.
The gal at the front desk was nice enough. We ate there and they ran out of fish but people that came in a half hour after us were served fish so not sure what that was about. Food was good but room temperature, fries had obviously sat. Sunday morning continental breakfast was half put away when we got there and there was definitely time left to eat before the hour was up. The room was clean enough but not good aesthetics. Beds were comfortable. Carpet was floor tiles that looked like something you would put in a storage room, everything was old and a little run down and there was no artwork in the room. Sad because we selected this location based on hearing it was newly remodeled. Not a pretty room but did the job. Probably would not stay there again, though.
