Cute Place, Bad Smell
Let me start by saying that the home looks exactly as advertised. It is very cute, updated, and everything was super clean. However, it is in a sketchy part of town and surrounded by privacy fence (Iâm assuming for security reasons). Also, there was a terrible marijuana smell that hit us in the face as soon as we opened the front door. After airing out the property all weekend, the smell was bearable, but still present and unpleasant. We messaged the host and they did partially refund us for the inconvenience. Iâm not sure this was adequate for how bad the smell was, but also, this wasnât really anything that money was going to help justify/fix. I am not one to leave reviews, especially negative ones, but we almost brought our 8 month old baby with us on this trip. If he would have been there and the place smelled that way, I would have been livid. Without many other options in the area and hotels booked due to the Carolina Cup, we were kind of âstuck.â I just want to warn other families who may be looking at this property to make sure you do your research before booking!
