Location 10/10, could use better maintenance
You really can’t beat the location. It’s perfect for a slow morning that still gets you first chair, a quick trip back for lunch, and even time to sneak in a hot tub before dinner.The property overall is showing its age and could use some maintenance. The garage door needs to be opened manually, the hot tubs alternated being out of service, and there was quite a bit of sand in the water—though that seemed to be addressed by adding more chemicals. In the unit, the shower drain barely stays open, and it’s tricky to keep the water flowing fully through the showerhead instead of the tub faucet.The pillows were okay, and thankfully there were extras in the trunk. We did find ourselves wishing there was a toaster oven, especially since there’s no full oven.The front desk staff were friendly and very responsive. We had extremely loud neighbours who left their kids alone, then returned later (clearly intoxicated), making even more noise. The front desk handled the situation within minutes, which we really appreciated.That said, for the price, having to do the dishes and take out the garbage before checking out felt a bit off—though at least the bins are conveniently located on the way to the parkade.We would stay again, but with lower expectations and we’d search for a good rate.
