Ideal location with just a quick walk to the private beach access and quick drive to the bridge. Laundry room on site. Fenced in yard. Covered parking. Smart tvs throughout. Beach wagon, chairs and umbrellas.
Enclosed outdoor shower with hot and cold water to rinse off the sand from your day at the beach.

Perfect for a long weekend getaway or week family vacation. Fully equipped kitchen to enjoy home cooked meals or enjoy the local meals at any of the wonderful eating spots. Bed linens are provided and bath towels.

There is no smoking in the home and request guests to be considerate with ashes and butts outside on the premises.

We had trouble with both AC units. Owner didn't leave the mini-split remote temp control available to us. AC Service had to come out twice, but it didn't help much.Some areas were not cleaned, hair in drain, trash in can and AC filter vent dirty

Holden Beach Vacation @ The Blue Anchor

This was the 3rd year myself and my family have stayed at The Blue Anchor. We always rent the bed & bath apartment on the ground floor as well. We absolutely love it! The location is great! It's a short walk to the beach! I never have to worry about cleanliness or if the kitchen will have cookware I might need. There is a gas grill we have also used for delicious meals. We all love the floor plan of this charming vacation rental!

The same group stayed there last year with the exception of my husband. He passed away this past April. Myself, my son, his girlfriend and his youngest daughter go. We are also able to take my pet and my sons girlfriends pet. Both older female dogs each weighing less than 7#. And my oldest grandson was unable to make it, he got to go last year and stay a few days with us. We always meet up with my daughter and her family who are already at Holden Beach in a separate rental with her boyfriends family. They are all from Maryland, we are all from Georgia. We so much enjoy our time there at Holden Beach and we do love this rental!! We have also rented the downstairs apartment this year and last.

Family vacation

This property was perfect for our family vacation. It was clean and had many essentials needed. The beach is just a short walk and the property owner was great to communicate with. We visit Holden Beach a couple times a year or more and will definitely stay again.

Holden Beach Getaway

We loved our Blue Anchor beach rental at Holden Beach, NC this July 2022. Finding it on VRBO made the experience so easy. Everything we needed in my search was right there at my fingertips! And we were a short walk from the beach! Looking forward to years to come in future rentals!!

Great stay at Holden

The house worked great for our family. We appreciated the short walk to the beach and use of the beach supplies in the basement. We did have some issues with the internet but the owner was always very responsive in trying to quickly resolve it for us. Some of the utensils and dishes were a bit dated/worn but otherwise the house had everything we needed. Thanks!

Love the Blue Anchor

We enjoyed our stay at the Blue Anchor. Really enjoyed the sitting on back porch with the fire pit after cooking dinner on the grill. Look forward to returning in the future.

July beach vacation

We had an enjoyable stay. The house was clean and comfortable. The beach chairs and boogie boards were great to be able to use. Laura was easy to communicate with, responsive and accommodating. When we booked, the listing didn't state anything about a downstairs tenant. That was a bit of a surprise, but there was only one occasion when we had to wait for the outdoor shower. Overall a great stay.

Amazing Week!

This was a fantastic place to stay at Holden. The pictures don’t do it justice! Perfect size for a family. It had ALL the beach accessories you could imagine which was really helpful (our toddler decided she wanted to be a big kid at the beach and needed her own chair). Short walk to the beach and wonderful patio area to rock on after a long day. Great and quick communication with Laura! Will be looking to come back for our next visit.

Surprise Tenant and Hair Everywhere

The Good: The kitchen, dining, and family room spaces exceeded our expectations as far as square footage and layout. The AC kept up with the summer heat and humidity, and we appreciated the wagon to use back and forth to the beach, which was just a quick 5 minute walk. The Not-So Good: The day before our vacation began, I received a message from the host with check-in details. In that message were instructions regarding parking, in which there was a nonchalant mention of a downstairs tenant - which was NOT mentioned in the original listing. Although friendly enough, the unexpected downstairs tenant did inhibit our use of the outdoor shower, patio/lawn space, fire pit, and grill that were advertised in the rental. Likewise, we were under the impression the laundry facilities were ours to use at all times. Multiple times, we had to work around and wait for the tenant to free up the facilities. Also, the lint trap after her use, was completely full of lint and dog hair that we had to empty ourselves. Which leads me to the cleanliness of the interior. Although we knew a dog could potentially stay in the house the week prior to our stay, we also expected the hardwood floors to be cleaned enough that our allergies would not be adversely effected. Unfortunately, that was not the case. There was so much pet hair, human hair and dirt on the floor and mattresses we immediately looked for the vacuum cleaner when we arrived. To our dismay, the canister of the vacuum hadn’t been emptied in quite awhile and we did not want to add even more allergens into the home. We trust the sheet sets were laundered in the appropriate water temps advertised, however the the comforters/quilts were laying open and covering dirty mattresses upon arrival. Although we appreciated a well stocked kitchen, we did not expect to have to work around leftover open bags of chips and cookies when unloading our groceries. The toilet paper (there were literally 4 squares when we arrived) and paper towels advertised were never found by us. The coffee maker still had grounds left growing mold. When I reached out to the host with this information, the response was a quick "we'll take this into consideration." When I then requested a partial refund in light of the information, I received no response. Future renters beware: This rental may not reflect all amenities or cleanliness standards listed in the description. You may also have a surprise downstairs tenant.

Holden beach get away

We love Holden Beach! We had a wonderful time at this little beach house. Perfect for a family of 5. Kitchen was well stocked and the Family room was a nice, cool break at the end of the day. Thanks for a great stay.

Awesome Ocean Weekend

We loved this fun and beautiful ocean property! Light and airy, great gathering spaces and very comfortable for the 5 of us. Just a 5 min walk across the street to a beautiful spacious beach. Amazing sunsets!!! Also everything you needed to enjoy the beach was included. Nice chairs umbrella and wagon to carry it all.

So cozy!

We had the best time in Holden Beach. We’ve never stayed here and it is the cutest little beach town. Our family of 5 felt right at home in this adorable beach cottage. Short walk to the beach, short walk to the intracoastal waterway and a short bike ride to the fishing pier, General Store and ice cream. Laura’s place is decorated so tastefully and it was so cozy. The kitchen was fully stocked, beds were comfortable and the den area was perfect for family movie nights. We will definitely stay here again now that we are head over heels for Holden Beach.
