"Wait N' Sea" - Oceanfront Home, 4 Bedrooms / 2 Bathrooms

"Wait N Sea" is a sweet four bedroom, two bath oceanfront home with living space all on one floor. This cottage offers all the comforts of home mixed with modern conveniences and comfortably sleeps 8.

The fully stocked kitchen has all the amenities you'll need with an updated ice machine and standard or pod Keurig coffee maker. There is seating for six at the dining table and two more additional stools at the center island.

The living area has plenty of comfortable seating plus a roomy lazy boy/rocker to catch up with family and friends or to enjoy the 52” smart tv.

All four bedrooms have new 32” smart televisions for streaming your subscriptions or enjoying local channels.

Bedroom One - King Size bed with Stearns & Foster mattress.

Bedroom Two - Queen Size bed.

Bedroom Three - Queen size bed.

Bedroom Four - Two Twin Beds.

All bedrooms have bureaus and extra blankets for chilly nights.

Bathroom 1 has standard size bathtub and shower.

Bathroom 2 (which is a Jack and Jill bath) has a large walk in shower.

There are plenty of outdoor rockers and seating, so you can relax on the front or back decks. The back deck also has a foot bath and outdoor shower, a picnic table for enjoying meals, plenty of boogie boards, sand toys and a new regulation size cornhole set. The house also has extra booster seats and a pack n play for the littles.

A Screened in porch with more seating is perfect for rainy days or sitting outside at night (since there are also string lights to make it cozy and relaxing).

Under the house, there is additional seating, two charcoal grills and a large walk in shower with hot and cold water.

Each renter is gifted with a welcome package.

A private housecleaner keeps this home meticulously clean, and the owners take great care of this home.

The house is in a great location with ocean views and direct beach access. It is well equipped and comfortable. Reservation was for only 2 people so not sure why we were required to purchase a linen package for 8 people.

Bring your own mattresses!

The beds were not comfortable at all...very old mattresses! I slept on the sofa all week. Loved the location and would book again if they fixed the bed issue, otherwise couldn't stay there again.

Enjoyed my stay.

Enjoyed my stay. However, the house needs TLC. The beds were very uncomfortable. Felt as if the bed springs were attacking me. However, the house was very clean. The location was great and so was the front porch. With the addition of new mattresses, would rent again.

Neglected and Buggy

A trip to Holden Beach is always special, so we enjoyed our week overall. But we had to stay outdoors almost 24/7 because of the mouse-sized roaches and very mildewy smell. The hurricane has a lot to do with it, I'm sure, but the cottage was almost uninhabitable. We managed to spray for bugs, which kept them mostly hidden. Dishes and pots and pans were old and grimy, and beds were so uncomfortable. This house house has the potential to be perfect, but with old and dirty furnishings it's hard to relax and enjoy any time indoors.

Very nice stay overall

Loved the location and beach access, Food lion maybe a 5 minute drive. It is a older house but everything worked well except the door on the beach front side, wouldn't unlock from the outside but was fine once unlocked. The bed's are kind of hard at least for me, "But i'm spoiled by what I sleep on at home, never seem to find something comfortable when I stay elsewhere" Other than that had plenty of water pressure and hot water good AC, big kitchen with brand new stove, overall very comfortable. Didn't catch anything to brag about but caught fish every time I went out regardless of the tide or the time of day. It was a great weeks stay and would definitely rent this place again.

Great beachfront experience!! The property is at the end of the main road and very quiet & relaxing!

House was a bit dated but very clean and accomodating. Would go back there again. Ocean views were amazing!! Walking onto the beach every morning was wonderful! Easy access to local resturants and activities. Lovely area!!

Nice beach, ok house, needs updates

The house was clean (housekeeper did a great job!!) and the beach was nice but the house needs some major updates! Kitchen could have been stocked better with things like knives, a mixer with all parts, etc. and the dishes didn’t feel very clean when the bottom cabinets don’t have shelves so pots are basically in floor. Beds need updating, mattress are older and a little worn. Front screen door leaks during rain and back door screen is torn up. Outdoor furniture is worn. Overall the location was good and the beach was nice but it was a little less than what we expected.

Nice house at a great location. Uncomfortable beds

Shell Seekers is a very nice house at a wonderful location on beautiful Holden Beach. Unfortunately the beds were very uncomfortable. I actually considered sleeping on the couch or hammock below the house.

Older home steps away from the beach.

Great location if your looking for a very simple island get away. The house is steps away from the water and fairly private even though it is surrounded by public beach access points. The home itself is in need of some serious TLC. It could be a great house but we had some issues with the air conditioning, very uncomfortable beds, stains all over the floors but for the price I guess your paying for beach front access.
