Barefoot 'N Salty - Walk to Beach in Surfside Beach

Barefoot and Salty! Sound like a perfect beach vacation to us, and this house has all your family needs to make it happen. Six bedrooms and six full baths make a comfortable stay for 14, and the beautifully-decorated interior is the icing on the cake. The living area opens onto the porch and sports a large flat screen TV. You'll love the ease of access to the beach, just 250 steps away (yes, we counted!) The saltwater pool is stunning, with private fencing and plenty of lounging chairs. Enjoy sitting on one of four(!) porches in a comfortable seat or at a table and chairs for outdoor dining. You've got all you need for a great family vacation in Surfside Beach, all while being “Barefoot and Salty!” This lovely home is also available for nightly rentals on a last-minute basis!

Overall this was a great location. The dishwasher in kitchen had excess mold- we reported to realty office on Monday. A tech was sent out on Tues- he verified that dishwasher had mold problem and said he would notify dunes realty. No one came back to do any further action to correct mold. We did not use dishwasher all week. The house met our needs otherwise.

The house over all was awesome and it met our needs perfectly! Upon arrival some of our family members noticed there sheets didn’t look clean and actually went to the store to purchase new ones to sleep on and the one double bed in the bedroom at the top of the stairs the bed frame/leg of the bed was broken

Great house!

Loved how close it was to the beach. Very easy 2 minute walk. Great pool. House was exactly as pictured. The beds were not as comfortable as we would have liked and there were some tv remotes missing but all in all it was a great place to stay and we hope to stay again sometime.

Wonderful home

My family all stayed here and we loved it! The house was clean, beautiful and a short walk to the beach. The management was easy to work with and even helped us out when we had to leave early because of the hurricane. Would highly recommend!

Fun in the sun beach vacation

Location was great. Short stroll to beautiful spotless beach. Quiet neighborhood away from all the hussle and bussle. Short bike ride or shorter golf cart ride to plenty of restaurants and beach attractions. We loved the private pool. Fenced in backyard gave plenty of privacy. We would love to stay here again in the future.

Filthy dirty

Although the location was great the cleanliness was terrible. The home needs an overall deep clean. The furniture was so dirty and stained we bought blankets to cover it before use. Some of the beds were dirty and we had to call for new sheets and comforters. The outdoor decks were also dirty and had not been cleaned. The pool area was covered with leaves and all of the furniture was dirty. I called the realtor and they said that someone would be sent over to pressure wash the decks and pool area however no one ever came. My family spent most of the first day cleaning the inside and outside areas of the house. The neighbors told us that everyone that has stayed there has complained about the cleanliness. It is really a shame because it is a perfect location and very nice house. It just needs a paint job and deep cleaning. Hopefully this review will force the realtor to fix some of these issues so that other families can have a better experience. It will be my last time with Dunes Realty and unfortunately at this home.

Spring break trip

My family and two other families stayed here for the week of spring break. The house had plenty of space for all of us. There were a few issues with the house. The microwave took forever to heat food up. The dryer had to be ran two or three times to dry the clothes. There were no towels in the bathroom so we ended up going out to buy some and then discovered the next day that the towels were in little totes in the kitchen. (It would’ve been nice to be told this before hand). Overall the stay was nice. I liked that each bedroom had its own bathroom and there were plenty of balconies to sit out and enjoy the weather. Also the pool was dirty but they had maintenance out within a couple of hours of me calling about it.

Family Visit

There was plenty of room for all 9 of us and it was really nice that each bedroom had its own bathroom. We all really enjoyed our stay at the house and with the unusually warm weather it was wonderful to be just steps from the beach.

Beautiful House

This is a beautiful house with all the amenities you will need! We had a wonderful time with plenty of room for two (could have fit three) families. House was very clean and provided all you need. It truly is just steps away from a beautiful private beach that was never crowded. They even provided very nice beach chairs and plenty of boogie boards for the whole family. We had a great fall break!! Just FYI The pool is not heated but the ocean water was plenty warm. Also one comment
the bedroom lights in 2nd and 3rd floor master bedrooms seem to both be controlled by each rooms remotes which made for a couple of interesting nights until we figured out what was happening.

Lovely moldy home

Location was excellent. However 3rd floor room had a musty smell and mold around lights. Also, had to have cleaning people come back and clean all bathrooms again. In addition, changed several shower curtains due to mold. Brought the musty smell to property manager’s attention (Dunes Realty) and still waiting for a call back

Loved this house

We just loved this house. The layout, location, décor and amenities were great. The house is very spacious. The top floor bedroom, which I will refer to as a "suite" was perfect for my son and his family. It gave them the privacy and space they needed. There was a few minor items we had to contact the management company for which is normal and they were quick and responsive. The beach was a very short walk like it was stated, just right across the street. We hope to stay here again in the future. Thank you to the owners for sharing your beautiful home..

Amazing Stay!!!

First of all, the photos make the home look smaller than it is- it was HUGE and had plenty of space for all of us in the living spaces and in the individual rooms. It was super clean and ready for us when we got there. I was also very impressed with how well the appliances worked and updated they were and how there were more than enough dishes and silverware for us to use. There was even an electric skillet that we used to make lots of grilled cheese sandwiches at once and plenty of pans/mixing bowls/utensils. The location is perfect- literally half a block to the beach. Each room has its own full bathroom, and there's a half bath downstairs, so nobody has to use anyone else's bathroom. There are also TVs in every room, so it's easy to take some time for yourself and have your own space if you need it. I can't say enough good things about this place and HIGHLY recommend it. You can tell someone put lots of thought into making it family-friendly, thinking about layout and beds not just to maximize how many can sleep there but giving lots of options for couples/singles/kids and whatever configuration of people your family may have. We slept 3 couples, 2 singles that needed their own rooms, and 4 kids here easily. Lots of other rentals were either full of twin bunk rooms that couldn't accommodate all the adults we had or didn't have rooms with enough space for a pack n play or two like we needed for our babies. We'll probably be coming back next year and are so thankful this property is available!

Loved this property because it was clean, comfortable and in a wonderful location in Surfside Beach. Our family wasn't comfortable spending a lot of time in crowded areas. So we split our time on the beach and in the private pool, while cooking at home. It was great. It's SUPER huge. Lots of room. Perhaps my only complaint was the next-door neighbors (visitors) who enjoyed their pool rather loudly every night. Otherwise, absolutely fantastic. We have already booked another stay there.
