This charming heritage terrace offers three well-appointed bedrooms, including one with a king-size bed, one with a queen-size bed, and a third bedroom featuring two king single beds.

The home includes a comfortable sitting room, as well as a modern kitchen and dining area located on the basement level for your convenience. There are two bathrooms with toilets, along with a front-load washing machine and dryer available for guest use.

Great location within walking distance to numerous attractions. Met our needs in terms of number of beds and facilities available. It was a bit tricky to access the property via the back alleyway as it is difficult for cars to go through there.

The house was near the CBD and In a wonderful position. The house was partially clean and the air conditioners were full of dust inside in the filter with difficulty to pump warm air. The 2 bedroom upstairs the mattress was ok, but the mattress downstairs was terrible for my back.Both shower was fine, but the windows in the 2 single bed was hard to open and an hazard. Wonderful location and view, but to improve.

Black Mold, musty and Safety Issues‱First thing that you notice when entering is the overwhelming smell of Must/Mold. Look straight up from the back door and you’ll see the mold from the leaking roof. ‱Owner used wall tiles instead of floor tiles on the bathroom/shower floor; slipping hazard‱Front door is double keyed and is difficult to lock/unlock. On average it takes 30 seconds to turn the bolt. The front door also has no weather stripping. It’s a busy sidewalk out front and you will hear the people outside as though they are in the living room with you.‱The beds sit directly on the floor. Be prepared for insects in the bed‱Hot water runs out after 5 to 10 minutes‱The only heat/AC are in the 3 bedrooms.

Brilliant location and exceptionally comfortable digs

This place was exactly what we were looking for. It had enough beds for the each of us. And boy, the beds were comfortable! The stairs are a bit tricky, but the character to this old, well kept home was beyond charming. The location was amazing. A water view from one of the bedrooms. A few minutes walk and we were in The Rocks, Circular Quay, and in about 15 minutes we were the heart of the CBD. We recommend this to any and all who are wanting to experience Sydney.

Charming home

The house has a cute layout. The back door entrance lets you into the kitchen and dining area. There is a bed and bathroom on this level. The front door enters into the 2nd level living room area, with the second bath on this level. The third level has two bedrooms. The stairs are steep and narrow. It was very clean, and the host was very responsive to any questions we had. Would stay here again. It’s a great location.

Classic old terrace

The location was unreal. As other reviews have said, there are two steep flights of stairs but this was no problem. Everything works andxthe house coped with 30mm of rain in 15 minutes!! The only thing I thought could be mentioned is that the tv isn't a smart tv but in this modern device age that wasn't a problem.

Property mis-represented

The property is strategically presented and hides the true condition of the layout of the unit. You enter the unit from the back yard gate next to rubbish and recycling containers. The back yard patio area is not suitable to use for relaxation as there is no furniture and the brick patio flooring needs to be cleaned of moss and dirt. Upon entering at the ground level, you have to pull you suitcase up one or two sets of stairs as the bedrooms are on the 2nd and 3rd level of the apartment. The description never mentions 3 levels, only a ground level and a second level. The stairs are incredibly steep and narrow making it difficult to carry a large suitcase to a bedroom. One could easily fall and injure oneself. The living room is on the 2nd level and the kitchen is on the ground floor so using at least one flight of stairs is unavoidable which, as elderly people, we saw as a real safety concern. Communicating with the owner was thru e-mail and responses to questions were delayed or non-responsive. I would be happy to provide pictures to verify the descriptions of the entrance and the back yard. We have used VRBO in the past and have been happy with what we reserved as the property met our expectations based on what was described.Gary Brog

Staying at the rocks

The location of this property was excellent for us as we were catching a cruise boat. We were able to walk from the property to the Cruise Terminal also to the Opera house. It wasn’t easy getting into the place but we sorted it out the layout of the place was good and the kitchen and bathrooms were very good.

Das Haus hat eine tolle Lage, man ist in 10Minuten an der Oper und in 5 Minuten in Bangaroo. Die Kommunikation mit der Vermieterin ist mitunter etwas schleppend, aber irgendwann bekommt man seine Antwort. Manchmal auch auf Nachfrage. Eine Schublade war kaputt, und wir mussten uns Besteck kaufen, weil nicht genug im Haus war, um eine gemeinsame Mahlzeit abzudecken. Die Regendusche im Erdgeschoss war kaputt. Das Haus ist charmant und wir haben die Zeit hier sehr trotzdem genossen

Great Location

The location is perfect for a weekend in Sydney- easy to walk to Darling Harbour and Circular Quay. The location is what you’re paying for as the house itself is a bit dated and amenities super basic. Only bath towels provided and these were the thin type with some of them having Playboy on them! Extra pillows in cupboards but no pillowcases. Hot water in the middle level bathroom very temperamental. We were there on a hot weekend and the house was hot- just one small fan in the lounge but thankfully aircon in the bedrooms which worked well. Overall we enjoyed our stay but for the price, don’t expect luxury.

Misleading description

Older travellers beware. This property has very steep and narrow stairs. Floor plan is this: kitchen, dining area, bed and bath on lower level. Street level is 2nd floor which has a livingroom and bathroom. 3rd floor is only 2 bedrooms. If you need frequent nighttime bathroom visits, using that steep stairs to get to the bathroom is not easy. Also, the beautiful view of the bay is from the third floor, while sitting on the edge of the bed, looking out the window. The backyard needs some serious upkeep. We found a broken cabinet, weeds everywhere, and an ancient cafe table set, surrounded by a high fence, no view. However, ending on a positive note, the location was excellent.

Stairways

Very charming neighborhood, walking distance to many of the downtown attractions including the Opera House. Several rustic bars and restaurants nearby. Perfect for our little three day get away.

Passable but disappointed.

The pictures doesn't reflect the reality. The house need some repairs and a good coat of paint. The stairs aren't just steep but also very narrow. And the backyard was full a weeds, not a place you would like to have a nice coffee or a glass of wine. But the location was great.

This property does not match the description or photos and is in very poor condition. The house was very dirty and not at all suitable for anyone with mobility issues. There is no mention about the steep stairs on the ad and I think this needs to be disclosed, the listed property compared to the actual property is very different and not in a good way. It also advises that there is parking on site. There is no parking. The cupboards were broken and the oven didn’t work.
