The room was wonderful. Cleaned spotless daily. The staff which includes the front desk, restaurant and management went above and beyond to make our stay perfect. This is the only hotel I will ever visit whenever I am in Sydney!!

The bathroom was gorgeous. The kitchen was functional. The airconditioning remote was fixed on the wall and as I have a visual disabilty could not operate it. The door to the room did not seal and hallway light leached in all around the door.

Excellent Overnight Stay

We enjoyed our stay at Castlereagh Boutique Hotel in Sydney. All of the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The hotel is located very close to the Pitt Street Mall, Sydney Attractions and the Theatre Royal. The hotel shower had really good water pressure. We would differently stay at the Castlereagh Boutique Hotel again next time we stay in Sydney.

It is okay, not great. Had a dirty facecloth in my room which was not a great start. It’s expensive considering the bathrooms are very dated and the rooms are small. Had a good dinner, staff were pleasant.

No Aircon

The aircon didn’t work in the room I expressed this twice and even asked for change of room, nothing was done. Oh sorry Sir thats as best as it gets this is a very old building.

The street was closed off because a crane was there. The staff did not contact me to advise of this issue and how to get into their car park. They didn’t answer the phone when we rang and we spent 40 mins driving around in peak hour traffic trying to figure out where to park. Once we arrived all we got was a so sorry and that the staff had only found out the night before. I feel knowing the night before, they could have called or texted to advise the changed traffic situation. Extremely disappointed.

Lovely historic heritage building. Friendly, efficient and helpful staff (including front desk and housekeeping). Short walking distance to Town Hall and St James train stations, light rail stops, buses, QVB, main shopping precinct, including Myer and David Jones, and Woolworths supermarket. Many food places, restaurants, cafes, and fast food to choose from.

Surprise package, we enjoyed the hotels location, comfortable beds. The parking was a bit tricky to find, if you are driving make sure you call the hotel first and get the address for parking. After that leave the car parked and easy to get to the light rail and/or train and explore Sydney.
