First, they don't have a 24hr front desk, and they lock the doors at 11pm (they give you a separate card for that). Then, they put me in shoebox-sized room in the fire escape. I've never seen a hotel cheap enough to put rooms in fire escapes. The wall are scuffed up, and the hot water sometimes takes several minutes to come on for showers, washing hands, ect. Also, they don't allow calls outside of Australia, so I couldn't call my family in the United States. The maid came in once when I was out and only cleaned the bathroom, but didn't change the bed sheets or even make up the bed or vacuum the floor. I had to go request that from the front desk. This is all basic stuff the all other hotels I've ever stayed in have done, but not this dump.
