Winter Driving Many highways, access roads and/or driveways are steep in Tahoe/Truckee and may be icy in the winter. To ensure your safety, it is critical that during November 1st - April 30th brakes, windshield wipers, defroster, heater and exhaust system are in top condition. Tires need to be properly inflated and the tread must be in excellent condition. Always carry tire chains, even if driving an AWD/4WD vehicle. Make sure the chains are the proper size for your tires and are in working order. You may find valuable winter driving tips from the CHP here: https://bit.ly/3IKiY7n
Summer Patio Furniture Patio furniture is available for your use during summer months only. All outdoor tables, chairs and loungers are put into storage in the fall, in order to protect the furnishings from winter weather. Barbecue grills, however, do remain outside for your enjoyment.
Black bears are very common in this area and have become habituated to human food and garbage. Because bears no longer have a strong fear of humans, you may encounter bears during your spring, summer and fall stays. Feeding bears is illegal. Leaving food outside, trash accessible, or doors and windows unlocked is likely to cause significant property damage to homes and to vehicles. Please take a moment to learn how to be Bear Aware, so that we can continue to live in harmony with our wildlife.

This place was fantastic. Accurate pictures, great spot for two families or one very large one. The place also has a hot tub which isnât clear from the photos and has some mountain bikes which we used as well!
We have three generations and a dog for three days. The place was wonderful and had every possible amenity. Dollar point is a fantastic neighborhood and the lake views were stunning!
We enjoyed the home and location. Furnishings were nice and plenty of room for 6 adults. Kitchen was well stocked for cooking which we did everyday while we were there. Communication with the management was very good. Easy to reach by phone.
Firewood, gas igniter, new gas grill, extra propane tank, garage access, wifi, smart TVs, fully stocked kitchen, there was even a mixed with dough hook that inspired us to make bread.
Great location.
Great stay.
We loved the balcony of snow where our kids could play and we, the parents, could watch them from the warm living room, while admiring the view of the lake. Loved the tankless water heater so that we knew some families wouldnât be left with cold showers. The humongous hot tub gave us a wonderful view of the expansive back yard. Our only little complaint was how hot the mid-level rooms would get while the upper two floors were really cold. Otherwise, we enjoyed the location and home. Thank you for hosting.
This was a perfect, elegant getaway home. Everything inside is done so nicely with fine details in a nice understated way. Great for a week away. Have been to Tahoe many times but never to Dollar Point and it is a super nice community. We will be back.
We had a great time and this property had everything we were looking for. The location was nice and the view was great. Well equipped kitchen and large dining area for nice family meals. We struggled with the heat a bit between the great room being cool and the middle level bedrooms being very hot, but managed it with bedroom windows open a little to balance the heat. The hot tub was very nice once we could use it.
We did have a few areas where there was room for improvement. The garage is not able to be used to park a vehicle since there is storage on one side and bicycles locked on a bike rack that obstruct the other side. This would have been good to know, since we thought we could park in the garage. We were not able to use the decks and hot tub for a day because they were not shoveled when we arrived. Understandable with how busy they must have been getting many properties shoveled after the storm, but still disappointing since we only had two full days. Lastly, we were unable to use the fireplace until we bought our own wood, despite being told wood was provided. All the wood is under the back deck, which was not accessible until the decks were shoveled. It also remains very damp and does not burn well. I would suggest having a small stash of wood in the garage so guests can easily access it and so it isn't too wet.
Overall a great stay, and we would definitely stay here again!
