There is only a reception only few hours a day. The room was ok however the bathroom sink was in the room instead of the bathroom. They had difficulties to clean the room in a timely manner (came back late afternoon and the room was still not done). You can hear the neighbours and i could hear the noise from the street. Not so quiet.

The self-service check-in and check-out no-frills boutique hotel (no front desk staff on the 1F at night time) is in a convenient location between Taipei Main Station and Ximending. The room was compact and clean with a limited space but has all I needed. There's usually no staff visibly on site on the first floor and the common room is barely utilized. For the price I paid and the location I like, it's a good deal for what it offers.

When we arrived at 5.45pm our room was not available Very confusing check -in procedure. Rooms were tiny and very little sound proofing between rooms.

Stayed for a week. Didn’t know the noise was THAT bad until settled in. Got a pair of boutique sunglasses stolen out of the room when we were out. Other reviews said the same so it’s true. Hide your belongings or lock them up cause the room service crew is hunting for easy targets. Don’t be caught lacking…..cause I did. Won’t stay here ever again even if they paid me.

The room itself is as advertised. The location provides easy access to shopping, food, and public transportations. However, we had to contact the hotel front desk several times to receive cleaning services after 5pm during our stay. The staffs were friendly and responsive, but guests should not have to do this. Also, the hotel appears to rent rooms by hours for 'couples' short stays', and the sound insulation between rooms was terrible. We were able to hear 'noises' from their 'hourly guests' several times during our stay. The hotel is at no fault for doing business their way. However, Expedia do a better job screening hotels. In fact, Expedia should seriously consider putting up warnings on hotels offering 'hourly stays' on their site. Overall, we would definitely consider hotels in this area, but we would likely not return to these types of hotels.

This hotel is not convenient at all and in fact very annoying. I took my family and all our luggage to the address and we couldn’t get in. Then we had to find out that the office lobby is across the street. When I got there I had to put a $1,000ntd deposit for each room, which I’ve never had to do before and makes no sense really since you get it back the next day before they even check for damages lol. Then they give us a confirmation number for our rooms. Then we have to cross the street again and because this lobby can take your money but can’t give you a key card. You go to the other building across the street and use a complicated annoying self checkout machine which you have to do for each room. And since you need the card to run the electricity in the room one person can’t leave with the key while the other person stays, and of course you can’t ask for two keys since it’s a machine. It was bay far the most annoying hotel experience I’ve ever had. Oh yeah and no breakfast, which they said was “because Covid”, total BS.

It was just the worst experience ever. When I got to the hotel, the hotel told me my reservation was canceled even though I never canceled it. Not sure if this was caused by a bug on Expedia side or a bug on hotel's system, but regardless, the hotel made me book a new reservation which ended up being more expensive than my original reservation for the same room. And when I came back to the states, the hotel did not cooperate well for the refund process and it was just a nightmare. Also when I checked in, I saw trash and hair in trash cans and the room was overall not so clean. No breakfast was provided but only positive side was that it was fairly close to the main station.

Short Taipei Stay

Super convenient to Taipei Main Station and NTU Hospital MRT. Easy check in and out across the street. No soundproofing.
